so today I got bored and put a gauge on the wild cat to see if the reg was set at the 130 bar.To my suprise when I refilled it to the 200 bar the the regulator gauge read 170 shouldn’t that have read 130?Any how the more I shot it the gauge started to drop.I thought the gauge would read 130 until it fell off the reg.Im not a genius by any means could someone explain this to me .

The reg pressure reads whatever the reg is set at. So if it's showing 170, then that's what the reg is set at. You can adjust the reg down to whatever you want. Ccw to increase reg, cw to decrease. So you want to cw the reg and test it again to see what the reg is at. If you set the reg pressure at 130 bar. Even if you fill you gun to 250 bar, reg pressure will only be at 130 bar. Untill you shoot it off the reg, then pressure will drop. That's when you know you need to refill.

Yote my man, I know you've been around the block and know how the regulator is set and functions. Have you actually pulled the regulator out of the cylinder to see where it's set? It sounds like the gauge is just wonky. If it reads 20BAR with no air, you know it's at least reading that much too high, sounds like it might be off by 40BAR? Probably a good idea to pull it out and check where it's set for sure. What weight pellets are you shooting and at what velocity? There should be a big difference in velocity between a reg. setting of 130BAR and 170BAR.

However, if it were reading correctly and your regulator is set to 170BAR and you filled it to 200BAR, it wouldn't take very many shots before the pressure got to 170BAR and dropped off the reg. In that case, you would see the pressure reading on the reg. gauge drop after every shot!

So, the gauge is either way off or your gun's reg. is set to 170BAR. Heck, it could be something else but I think it's one of these two things. Let me know when you get it figured out, I'd like to know if it's the gauge or the reg. setting. Have a good one brotha!

When I put the huma reg in it was set to 130 so I thought.Im useing 18 JSB pellets. When I was play with the hammer tensions the highest was 900 ft and the lowest was 750ft.right know it’s average is 850ft gonna leave it that way for now and go do some pesting.PS the gauge was not even in the gun when it read 20 bar.

I took the reg out it was difinitly seat to the 130 bar .Had it out so I bumped it up to the 140 bar.Ran thru the corney first shot 511 second shot 485 third shot locked up .Yup someone put the reg in up slide down 😳Took it apart and put it back together the right way and ended up with 36 regulated shots Hi 922 low 899 Av895 Ed 56 ..Went out and sighted her in at 50 yards with the jbs 18 and the barracuda hunter 18 grains.Considering I was shooting from my Jeep useing the window as a rest I thought they are pretty good groups.PS I’m going to go out on a limb and say the gauge was junk .

FX gauges are very inaccurate, it's like they built a Ferrari and put plastic hubcaps on the wheels. I replaced all my Impact X gauges with Edgun digital and they are spot on/verified. When I adjust the reg the digital follows with every quarter turn of the wrench. Too bad FX cant just include the digital with the Mark II, it's an option but not included. Spend over 2k and you still need to buy options to get it perfect. Someday a perfect gun will be made with all the options. Lol

Wait till you have to change the battery in the Edmu. The ridiculous little plastic tabs break. They arent great in the cold, then after some use the clear cover spins. Far from perfect.

Dude, I'd rather replace all of the o-rings in an Impact with all of the o-rings jumbled together / without labels - then have to get that damn battery swapped out again.

Also, those FX gauges are garbage. At least the two that I had. The new ones might be better, but who knows when a non-sponsored airgunner will be able to verify that LOL

Is that a TJ or an LJ?
