Huma/Lane Hatsan

If a regular is required to breathe then why all the trouble cutting the threads of tube cap? Why not a hole in the tube behind the Huma??

No need for new threads on the same thing....

I could go into a couple paragraphs but the simple answer is that the push in regs for otherwise never regulated guns ((no info specifically on the hatsans)) usually breath 'OK' with removing the oring that Huma shows in the basic instructions. Again, I've not looked at the Hartsan install info. And the thread cutting is a 'next attempt' at getting it to work better. Depends ultimately on you expectations and how big a risk your willing to take.

Drilling a pressure tube is a discussion point, but I wouldn't expect a hundred dollar a piece retailer to suggest that. If not done right it's an easy way to mess up a gun.

Different approach- One of the guns I've done under these same circumstances, worked just fine (actually the best I've even seen over the chrony) with out doing anything extra. No drilling, no oring removal, no thread cutting. Unfortunately, the others I've done were replacements (they were already drilled) . Some others simply never made it to my house from Huma. I have one on my wall that needs a reg and I actually am willing to try the oring removal/the thread cutting/and even drilling if it comes down to it. Problem for me is how many 100/110 dollar regs to lose in shipping to maybe make a $350 gun to shoot better.....
