I really like the looks of the Huggett and Shroud on Daystate rifles. I had one on my wolverine B Hi-Lite .25. I have an Air Wolf MCT .22 with the shroud and airstream (?) system sold on stock rifles from AoA. It is ok but I unscrewed the moderator this morning and discovered there is a lot (3-4"?) of empty shroud between the moderator and the barrel. I would think a Hugget (standard) and shroud would shorten the overall length of the gun a couple of inches and look better.
I've done the google searches and searches here. Found some interesting exchanges between Sharroff and others.
Before I put a WTB on the classifieds:
1. Am I correct in the shortening affect?
2. Would I notice a change in sound? (The Wolf MCT with the stock moderator is plenty quiet enough for me now).
3. Will I be able to find the system for sale less than what appears to me a ridiculous price (sorry if I've offended) of $400+.
I'm not too crazy about spending the time and money to send this entire rifle back to AoA to have one installed just because the anti-gun crowd behind their gates and bodyguards say so. (Sorry for the editorial comment.)
Thanks
