Ordered JSB pellets through Amazon and the Prime shipping box was perfect, the tin can was dented however and I would say 350-400 of the 500 pellets were deformed!! I am simply amazed.

Never a problem with Pyramid Air. Buy in bulk during sale times for addition savings.

All that means is that they were mishandled before they were shipped. I've had great luck ordering pellets from airgundepot and pyramid.  They package them well and the tins are always perfect.  That's the difference in dealing with someone who cares about airguns and amazon.

Stuff happens. Can't control shipping. I used to work for fedFex. When the semi rolls into the warehouse. We have to unload them and send them into the small truck to be delivered. We jump in the trailer, grab the boxes and start throwing them into the conveyor belt. We are time how many packages get through per hour. If we aren't fast enough, we get warning from the manager to speed it up. So can't just nicely and softly put each package onto the belt. Have to do it fast. So some items will get damage. Also some items stack in the trailer will fall down during shipping or when we go to grab nearby items, others will fall and hit the ground. We aren't allow to catch them cause they are heavy and can't hurt us. We jump out of the way and let them drop to the ground. It's just how things go. I ordered some jsb 25 cal from airgun Depot. 3 of them had no sign of damage. One had a dent on the tan. Inside, maybe 50 or so have damage skirts, but rest seem ok

About 75% of the .22s and 1/3 of the .25s I bought from amazon have been like that. Sometimes they'd even put one tin in a box with no packing!

I no longer but pellets from Amazon. It's just not worth it.

    +1 on Doug’s post.

Pyramyd Air usually has a Birthday Sale mid-May. It’s the best time of year to stock up, and they pack their pellets very well.

NEVER BUY PELLETS FROM AMAZON, PERIOD.

THEY ALWAYS COME DENTED,  they don't know or don't give a crap on how to package them

I like Airgun Depot, Treiner Air and Edgun West

The ONLY time I have had Amazon Prime shipments properly packed is when they absolutely did not need to be! They once shipped me a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper with sugar rather than corn syrup that was simply dropped in a box with no packing at all. Bet you can guess how that did in shipment. They once sent me a single drill bit that was in a box that would hold 10,000 such bits and had so much packing that it was hard to find the purchased content.

Amazon's robots are at best using no A.I. at all! There are MANY damaged pellet stories about Amazon across ALL airgun forums.

Did that once because I was in a jam and needed them FAST…………never again!

Good to know guys, thank you. In fact, we've been so unhappy with Amazon in general that we cancelled our Prime

I've also had a dented tin of AA domes from Pyramyd Air that were packed well. I'm guessing that the tin was dented before packing however it was sent anyway. No biggie in my case because only a few pellets in the tin were damaged. Here are a few pics showing the pellet tins and the home made 4.50mm pellet head sizer used to reduce the pellet heads to a consistent size…………

This batch of 4.52mm AA domes were very consistent and only a few had heads too small to be sized with my 4.50mm die. LOL….this is a "far cry" from the supposedly 4.52mm JSB Exacts where very few had heads large enough to be sized with the home made 4.50mm die!

I get tins of JSB .22 pellets that arrive in perfect shape on the outside but there are lots of skirts with flat spots inside. I see it as a quality control issue.

They're still more accurate than any other pellet for me.

I'd like to see JSB offer match grade with tighter weight tolerance, washed and lubed with more protective packaging. I know it would cost considerably more but I think there's a market for it.

If you stop and think about it, there are 2 (at a minimum) types of sellers on Amazon. The 'original' retailer using Amazon as a store front and the multitude of others that ship product to the amazon warehouse for sales and fulfillment by amazon. If you look at some of the pellet sellers (for those fulfilled by amazon) many, if not most are going to are going to garage based companies that you've never heard of.

For a pair of shoes, that may not matter. For a tin of pellets, it means that someone bought a bunch that was otherwise wholesaled out buy a random middleman, then shipped to Amazon for sale and fulfilment.  Doesn't mean that it can't be a good deal but think about the fact that this is 2 (maybe 25) more shipping iterations than ordering directly from PA/AGT or other retailers that we often do business with. Think any of those middle men gives a rats tail about packing?

There are (or were) pellets available on Amazon shipped and fulfilled/shipped by PA (at least, prob others), I would expect the same as I would from PA, but those were generally at retail. The deals are on the PA site directly.

Cheaper versions of the same pellets are just that, usually. Look for pellets with shipments fulfilled by PA/other and they should come out of PA's inventory.

If you have a springer, just seat the pellets with a guitar cable. The JSB lead is soft and will inflate the skirt enough to do some target plinking.

Every tin of JSBs that I've ordered from AirgunsOfArizona have had so many unusable pellets in them
that to be honest – It put me off from using JSB pellets – for the longest time..
I switched to H&N, and didn't think I'd look back..

Then while on Amazon,  I saw that they had both H&N and JSB, so I figured why not..
Placed an order via Prime,  got the pellets in 2 days – free ship  vs.  like $15-30 shipping and a week wait..

Annnd…  The majority of the pellets were flawless..  Imagine that..

I have to say the same for ordering from Pyramid Air..
Grab a few, get a freebie..  Shipping was reasonable:  They're in OH / I'm in NY, so only a few days..
Again,  almost every single pellet looked great and was usable..

I don't think I've ever received a 'dented' tin either..  It's just the quality or lack there of – of what's inside..

I ordered way too many .25 cal. pellets on my first order at Pyramid Air. 67 lbs. worth.

My fault for the damaged tins. I didn't know they were going to be that heavy.

One round box with 14 trashed tins out of a lot more than that. Long way from coast to coast.

I called Pyramid for a shipping damage complaint. They wouldn't.

Just sent me 14 new tins. Done.

Now I buy pellets from their sister company Air Gun Depot. Less time in travel. Closer to Oregon.

Last shipment I got was packaged so well I call and demanded to speak to the shipping supervisor.

I told him to go out and tell his employees that they are doing an outstanding job. Best packaging ever.
