Huben K1 Killing Birds Video

Randy_68,

" need 110 or more"

this also got me wondering.

I wonder if the Huma is just showing a different reading, the dials are quite small so +/- 10 or so may not require much margin of error on one or the other (or both) the Reg's.

do you recall the various count counts at 110 bar in your experience with the 18g. (bit of an ask, i know)

Davidsng. did you chrony the guns at 110bar before and after you changed to the Huma, (big ask, I know).

thanks gents for all info.

ps , It is Nate right?.

My gun shoots better at 130 bar so that's what I use with the 18 gr at 925 and I use 150 bar with the 25 gr at 930fps.. My buddy is using 120 bar and got well over 100 shots, I think around 130 total with the 18 gr at 900 fps. .His other 2018 gun is the only one of about ten that we have that can use 95 bar and 25 gr JSB with no problems. We have a couple that wont work well under 140. So it seems to be a balancing issue between reg and valves. I found that adjusting reg up in small increments until you find the perfect pellet flight works good and that is how I set mine up.

Sorry to hijack your thread David.

Outstanding video. I own 2 K1s myself. Love them. They are great hunting machines. I have one setup to shoot JSB 18gr for bird pesting and one setup to shoot JSB 25gr. Redesigns for crow and Squirrel hunting.

Now, the camo one setup to shoot the Redesigns the regulator can be set as low as 100bar or higher and work flawlessly without no creep.

The pesting Huben that is shooting 18gr. Has reg. creep. But doesn't really bother me. It gets 133 shots per fill and is extremely accurate.

Hey Randy68,

I just checked my reg gauge close. I think I'm actually a hair above 100 bar, closer to 105. Im getting no problems cycling. I start to have problems around 95 bar. With my Huma reg, I lost external adjustability.

My original reg spread started off like 60fps spread on a magazine. It settled over time to 30-40fps spread, I think. It had slow fill time, It also if it sat over night, it creeped a few bar. The creep got worse, and started creeping like 30bar in 10min. With the slow fill time, and creep my spead was really bad.

The Huma is rock solid now. Needle never moves, fills really fast too. It has less than 20fps spread on the 19 shot mag. Often Humas have a little more volume in the plenum, but I forgot to compare. It probably has a little more, maybe.

NEAirGunner,

Shooting JSB 18 at 860fps. I really like Rock, but Classical is awesome too!

Jammin 22,

Yes, I will try Redesigns at 100bar. I can get 18 up to 1030! Maybe Redesigns will work, we will see.

HarryMoreland,

Yes, I chronographed the original reg when I got it. Spread was bad (50-60fps) but got better (around 30fps) then the spread went to crap when the reg started to fail. I could not even get a good shot string. If I shot too fast the velocity would drop because of slow fill, shot to slow it would jump to 1100fps because of the creep. The reg would be at 150 in 10 minutes.

This Huma is working sooo solid now. The needle does not move. Huge difference.

Wow lol I had to watch it again that really brings the quick follow up to the lime light.

Yes, the semi auto is addicting!

Sick man thanks for taking the time for the video. Always wanted one. Initially at least, this was supposedly a slug only gun - have you put in much time with slugs? I’ve tried them all through other guns and Griffins have really shined for me. He’s making some pellet back 30gr hollow points that I really like and are priced reasonably, I can send a dozen or so if you’re interested, and some scope stickers on the house.
thanks again for video.
