Hello! nothing complicated, the pressure regulator is 160 barrels, made by the local master, but you can buy Huma, and everything else is already being done locally.

.25 MP Molds @Gregor design, just over 35 yards. No bi-pod, just leaning against the railing, gun was hitting high and to the right of zero. But I am very pleased with the accuracy of the homemade bullets. These are 17 shot groups.
I bleeped out the gore. But mods feel free to remove if hunting photos are not allowed. Thanks.

I know you read Gregors output, so I am sure you know he believes the current MP molds design does not suit the .25 K1,however if you where to get groups like those at longer distance then your "molds" cast slugs will do fine for hunting.
I intend buying a K1 in .25 and am waiting for Huben (having moved factory) to resupply European dealerships, I am hoping (unlikely as it is) that a new batch would have a barrel update.

I have houses on one side of the property and a fence line around the rest. So I am probably never going to be able to shoot longer than 35 yards. Also it is a lot easier and cheaper to just buy JSB pellets. So I probably will just stick to pellets most of the time.
It is kind of fun to be able to make my own bullets of I want now though.

. I made 650 good pellets last night and about 1/3 was waste. I am not sure why but this batch does not fit in the magazine as well, and the accuracy is all over the place. I'm feeling pretty discouraged now.
It seems like the sprue hole on the mold is too large because the base of the pellet is deformed from the cutting action on the side of the fore of the cutting.
I tried getting the lead a lot hotter and cutting while the center of the pellet hadn't completely solidified. But no luck either way.
Also the pellets could use to be like 1 mm shorter so they fit in the magazine easily and maybe like .001 mm smaller in outer diameter.

Casting can be an art, in itself. Like most things, the more you do it, the more you understand it. I've got to order some 22 cal molds.

try not to cast much over 750* it will cause issues . Also make sure the mold temp stays as consistent as possible , I tr6 to keep it between 350 and 400 and let 8t cool if it gets too hot . If you don’t already , you should have a sizing system for the bullets you cast , it’s very rare that a bullet will,be the right size straight from the mold. NOE bullet molds has a great system for sizing .

For my .22 Huben ( version 2 ) , only 5.55 slugs made by MP-molds is good. 5.52 is A LOT poorer accuracy wise.
Getting the temperature right is the KEY to make good bullets. The temperature control of the Lee pot is totally hopeless. I have added an external electronic temperature controller and the yield rate has become much better since then. The controller costs 9 bucks but you need to do some wiring. There are tons of info on line about people modifying their Lee pots.
For the mold, I use a contact-less temperature sensing gun to check whether it has reached the right temperature before starting. It's made in China and cost only 10 bucks
From your pictures, it seems that the two mold halfs do not align well as the seam line on the slugs is very prominent. It is possible that the alignment pins have moved outward. You can check it by sliding the two mold halves realtive to each other and see if you can feel any play. Well I did a crown job on my 25 cal Huben I think it turned out good
I removed 5mm of length to remove some of the choke from the barrel
and did a 11 degree crown on it.
Some more testing will be needed but the gun did shoot the slug much better.

Ydunn, please keep us updated on accuracy , both for slugs and pellets, whether the results are good or, not so good, I am hoping they are good for you as you are a brave fellow for even trying this.
