Huben Hammerless K1

Hello. It seem that there is a lot of people (mostly form Europe) that are not following my advice on the setup of K1. I have received a lot of questions about this. From what I have seen form these few videos, all of you are trying to shoot very high power with extremely low pressure. I did not see a problem with and of the K1 in these videos. Surprisingly, K1 actually pushes the extremely heavy JSB Beast at energy close to 100 joules at those low pressures (120 - 130 bars) but it is not efficient. The physics does not allow it to be efficient as the valve has to be opened to the very end, when the pellets leaves the barrel to achieve these high power. This makes the gun very loud and if you live in an area with high humidity, you will get condensation or even ice on the end of the shroud. If you want to shoot at 100 joules, you HAVE TO set the pressure to 150 - 170 bars (I would recommend 170 bars) and then turn the power fully down and increase it until you get the desired velocity. The set velocity must be at least about 10 m/s lower as it would be if you opened the power wheel fully at that pressure, otherwise it will not be efficient. If you do not reach desired velocity by setting it to 10 m/s lower than max. velocity at that pressure, then you need to increase the pressure in order to do so. 

I seems that a lot of people don't understand the physics behind this, so I will probably make a video explaining this and also some demonstration.

in the second video he said, the reg is set to 150-160 as it came from balistas. It still dumped the air. 
there must be a chart or something what power wheel maximum can be set for a certain reg pressure. Should be easy to make, if the guys turn the wheel the right way round LOL
Are you saying you cant fire it too fast (before the reg refills) or it dumps the air or something.

that gun in .25 would be a MONSTER

No, you can fire it as fast as you want. The power wheel covers a big variety of power option, and must be able to accommodate pressures from about 120 bars to over 200 bars. It turns out that the power wheel can be more open when it come to higher pressures. You can try to set the pressure to 200 bare and open the power wheel to max. and you will see that there is no air dump. But if you set it to lower pressures, then you need to set the power whee to less as well. That is just the design of this gun. I do not see some huge disadvantages in this, just turn the power wheel down until you get shots without air dumps, and if you want more power, just set it to higher pressure and do the same. It could not be more simple (not that you know what to do).

Gregor and what is happend when i have reg pressure about 170bar and fire about 2 mags
then at end of second (5-10 shoots) air tank is cold like freezer and the pressure in tank drops under reg set pressure then when i fire i have droop air after each about 40bar so max 3 shoots and tank is empty.
So if i understand valve not seal as quick when pressure in tank is under reg pressure - its just under power wheel settings - yes ??

p.s. i chrono the beast nad i have spread speed of shoots about 5-7m/s what i cant do to have 1 max 3 m/s spread ??

Edit:
i change springs to (())... and now beast 2.2g with 307m/s max spread +-1m/s. I shoot 4 mags and no change max +-1m/s spread.

Regarding the cool down of the cylinder: Every PCP cools down when you shoot it, it is jut not possible to shoot fast enough and with enough high power with other guns to notice this. I believe I have answered everything else in my last posts.

When i change springers in reg. i shoot 3 mags with 307m/s on beast and everything work well - THANX Gregor you the K1 master
Now i will tune power to shoot best groups.

I am glad you got it working. I too use tow stack (())(())(())... in my regulator on both V1 and V2 of K1.

Gregor and what is going with molds for huben i cant find it on mp-mold site.
Did they have it in stock ??
Can we bay some bullets for test ?? ewentually i can send you cash for 200 bullets we live in EU (I live in Poland) so package will be not expensive :]

I am currently out of EU (In Africa). I also don't have any at the moment. I believe you can still buy it form MP molds, just write to the official mail of MP molds...

So from what I could understand for a finer adjustment of power and speed it is necessary to change the position of the plate springs on the regulator.

You need to change the regulator washer stack form there by three [ )))((()))(((.... ] to two by two [ ))(())(()).... ], but not for finer adjustment; for better pressure consistency...

accuracy problem - my fx impact .25 from the box on 70m shoot A4 paper on start with kings (30cm x 20cm -WTF).
after 10h work twiks and mods about 1cm CTC (0.4") on 50m and 1" on 100m - so get huben make adjustments and mod it and 1" on 100m will shoot no problem.

What about the accuracy of your Huben K1 V2 after more than 10h tuning ?

1 Moa or sub Moa like hitting a pingpang ball at 200+ yards?

I dont shoot now 5.5 so its hard to tell.
My huben is disassemble and i make modifications to shoot 6.35 king heavy or my own cast bullets ;P

Thank you for your information. You mentioned your friends had also bought K1. I think you can ask them about the normal accuracy of .22.

The accuracy of Huben k1 still remains a mystery after 2.5 years . LOL 

I shoot about 1" on 50m full mag (19 bullet) jsb beast .22 with 100j power.
In my impact i have 0.5" on 50m with (10 bullet) jsb king heavy .25 with 80j power.
BUT
It turned out that I have a metal burr in huben at the entrance of the barrel so after polishing it i thing that accuracy will be better

And there folks, what results they are obtaining in their k1, autonomy, used leads, configuration of the springs dish, better range of work. I have my k1 a little time and last week I opened the regulator to adjust and lubricate the springs and I could observe that they were in the following arrangement: =)) (()) (()) (()) (()) (()) (()) (()) (( . I will do tests to see how it went.
