HPDAAV compressor woes

I bought the small HPDAAV compressor off of amazon earlier this month and it has ran great until this morning. It is leaking on the second stage and will not build pressure past 3000psi. I already contacted amazon and started the return procedure. It only has 2.5 hrs on it so far and should not be having this type of problems. I'm really disappointed and frustrated at this point. It seems like there are not many reliable compressors under 2000 dollars. I love this hobby/sport but I'm about to sell everything off and be done with it. Hopefully my feelings change once I cool down a bit.

For a few dollars more you can have a reliable compressor, not a cheep hoby/sport for sure. I'm not a fan of China and would rather not support them anyway. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks guys. I must be glutton for punishment because I ordered a Yong Heng to replace the DAVV but I also ordered the 3yr extended warranty. I told my wife that hopefully after 3 years I can purchase one of the good ones. How much are those Alkins and where can I drool/look at one. Trying to have somewhat of a sense of humor about it and not let it get me down. I really love to shoot my guns and this pretty much shuts that down.

My advice which NO ONE asked for, is if you are gonna use a Chinese compressor, take a little time to learn to work on them and you will find the value that some people get out of them. They are generally very simple machines and easy to diagnose. Learning and information is mostly free these days, and tools are cheap. You can do it, and it will be worth it.

Hope you get back up and going soon. Being without air sucks. That's why I'm primarily a springer guy!

Hang in there bud.

Good advice. It is probably a simple fix like tightening a fitting or replacing an O-ring or Dowty seal. It should have come with a spares kit.

Thanks guys, I do have plenty of tools and a decent mechanical aptitude but after running it only 2.5 hrs I thought it was best to send this one back and hit the do-over button. Hopefully the YH I'm getting does a little better. I would have rather gotten a YH but when I was looking around they seemed rather scarce or the prices had gone through the roof. Now the prices have came back down some I went with one of these with the extended warranty which hopefully allows me some time to save some money for a MUCH better unit like the Alkin. But that is a huge commitment, however if and when I get one I could also fill bottles for people for a reasonable price to help re coupe some of the initial cost. And perhaps meet some fellow airgunners as well.
