HPA Tank service requirements - Brancatto's Great White Mfg date 3/17

Hi All,

I didn't see this listed anywhere, so I'm asking.

I have a Great White, made on 3/17 and I'm going to Ventura to have it filled by Scuba folks there.

Does anyone know the DOT regs that specify a visual is only required with the five-year hydro?

Likely I'll need to show them that if I don't want them to bleed it down and visual - and all adding time, when I'm pressed for it.

Appreciate the citation to the regs. I've tried looking up the DOT codes on the tank and so far come up with nada.

Thanks. And I should have asked this gang earlier. The source of all air gun info.

I have asked CenterCut, but am spreading the love in case he doesn't know.

CFFC cylinders must be subjected to a thorough periodic inspection and requalification every five
years. During periodic requalification, each cylinder must be examined internally and externally for
damage and degradation and then subjected to a hydrostatic pressure test to the design test pressure.
Only after completing these procedures satisfactorily can the cylinder be returned to service.
