Howler slugs in fx impact compact

So what weight are these slugs.and where did you purchase them?

Shorter barrels are usually made for shooting pellets. So what barrel do you have on your gun? If you have the Superior liner it should not be too difficult to find something that will shoot in it. The STX liner is another story.

Have you tried the other NSA slugs in lighter weights?

addison mine really likes the NSA 20.2 slugs 

I would probably keep looking. That looks to be a 1.5" group at 50 yards. I'm ok with 5/8", and in windy conditions 3/4" but definitely not over an inch. 

My .22 crown is shooting knockouts at 900 fps and most groups are right at 1/2" at 62 yards.

It took me a while to get it here but it was worth the hard work. 

My Impact PP 700mm pellet liner “A” in .22 shot 18.13 JSB at 958 FPS and NSA 17.5G 0.2175 slugs at 940 FPS. The gun is set at 82 bar HS 17.58mm at Max and trimmer 8.08 or 3 lines shooting PW Max. First interesting thing both the pellets and slugs zero the same at 40 yards. I have found that both are shooting +/- MOA at 50 and 75 yards. This was a nice surprise to not have to change anything to shoot both well.

Yeah I could make slugs faster but that defeats shot count and also defeats don't touch current tune plan.. I shoot pellets but slugs are nice for squirrel!

addison: One thing FX guns does exceedingly well is extremely precise manufacturing with very tight tolerances. This means when you turn the power knob to max and get 900fps you can dial it back and forth or cyclops nipple twister on it and when you put the power wheel back to Max it will still average 900fps. Incredible repeatability! This is useful because you can tune the impact to shoot slugs at max and dial it down to 2 or 3 to shoot pellets. The no longer mine maverick compact .22 is setup to shoot 23 grain slugs at 920 FPS @ max and 18 grain pellet at 2 @910fps, both share the same exact POI at 30 yards so he doesn’t even change scope zero. Obviously the Dope will be different but that’s easy to figure out. He would shoot pellet one day and dial to max to shoot slug and bang, hit exactly where the strelok said it would! 


if you tape a dual Dope table on your gun or switch profiles in your strelok with 2 mags you can literally switch back and forth any time you want! It’s that good!!!
