How to tune a Bobcat MK2 .25 cal?

Yes, it was really accurated out of the box with JSB King. I got it from last Sep, and I added the LDC from Neil for plinking the suqirrel. It was really good until now. I shoot most of time under 50 yards. Now I got a permission to get in a bigger place, so my distance will be under 150 yards. I try to zero at 50 yards, but for some reasons I couldn't. It's got about 3-5 pellets in the same hole, then it jump to 0.5-1in different. So I put a lot of cleaning pellets through to clean, and it is all white...not even gray at all. As a newbie, I don't know how to tune it or make it better. I readed and did the research on the forum about to make it better velocity. I just don't know what to do best. I tried to contact the gentleman name Ernest, but he didn't answer. I guess he won't have time for me. So I ask member here...
please help!!!
thank you very much

Trying to put the finger on the exact problem is like trying to get your hair cut on the telephone but here are some thoughts.
1. Did it start spreading after you added the LDC? Might try seeing what it does with it off. Could be clipping. Look for lead particles.
2. Have you put it thru the chrony? Make sure you are getting consistency there.
3. Does this gun have a power wheel? Make sure it is set properly & not a little off.
4. I don't use cleaning pellets cause I want to actually see what might be in my barrel. If it shows lead particles that would indicate clipping.
5. Use a light and carefully inspect inside the LDC and in the barrel too if you can.
6. If it continues I would describe the problem in detail and call AOA. I believe the gun will still be under warranty, if so, AOA will send you a shipping label. They will fix it. If not under warranty, I would still send to AOA cause they will fix it.
Hope it's just something minor cause this very aggravating. Good luck!

Added: Make sure the scope is tight. Almost didn't add this because it's rarely the case.

Vudo: the things recommended too you are very good troubleshooting. I want to add another thought. I shoot a Bobcat mkl and my POI at 50 yards would be .3-.4" then after 3 shots 1" off POI and all 3 shots hit within .3"-.4" again. My scope internals failed . Changed my scope out and all is well again. Your gun is very capable of 50-70 ,yard shots consistently.

It was a little WINDY, but here is my result.

***The power wheel really tide, I just use the power 2 only.
***Checked the barrel and the LDC, both are really clean with my bull eyes.
***with LDC on:
1st 5 shots give me 856.6fps 0.5" group,
2ns 5 shots give me 862.2fps 1 1/8" group.
***without LDC on:
1st 5 shots give me 861.2fps 1" group,
2nd 5 shots give me 866.8fps 1" group.

The last picture is 11shots from 220bar -200bar. That's about 1 1/2" to 2" group.

I'm don't know it me or my gun.
what should I do? Thank you very much!!!

Groups dont look bad, I would say you might be canting the rifle which is easy to do with the bullpups. I don't care for how the shroud is on the bobcats, try removing the end cap and shooting without it. More of a free floating barrel. You can also play around with velocity to see if the barrel might like a little more speed. Do you purposely have the poi and your poa off for your groups?. I find all the st fx barrels I have are very pellet fussy, some claim theirs are not but having had 6 different fx st guns they all were for me. I have done various things to FX guns to help accuracy, have modified magazines, opened holes in stripper, opened bore in endcaps, opened holes in FX baffles, adjusted shrouds on bobcats. I have had st barrels that would put 5 pellets into 3/8 at 50 using jsb 18 then shoot some h&n pellets and literally only one pellet even hit the 8" square piece of paper.

@Monkyshine: I took off the scope and change to another Hawke scope to see any better.
@FearnLoading: Thank you for the tip, I will practice on that.
@AZBOBCAT: I will remove the end cap and shot without it to see how it goes.
Could you tell me again "Do you purposely have the poi and your poa off for your groups?". I'm so sorry, I know poi means, but I don't know what poa means.
"Velocity" I know I want to search how to make it faster too, but I don't know how is the first. Second will it going to break the warranty or not. 860s fps is really slow compare the paper from AoA give to me (878).
Thank you

Vu, more FPS doesn't mean more accuracy. I don't remember what grain pellet you are using. The JSB .25 gr pellet will shoot about 100 FPS faster than the JSB .34 gr pellet. I stick with JSB pellets but I would try a different weight. My FX 500 loves the .25 gr but my regulated FX 500 likes the .34 better. Both are .25 cal.
we all seem to want more FPS but be very careful if you adjust it. A small adjustment can make a big change good or bad.

vudon, sorry must not gotten your email. Email me: [email protected]

to properly trouble shoot your BC;

1. Shroud removed --- just barrel and check for proper mounting---> take 5 six shot groups from 200 to 175b if regulated if not find the flattest string and take group accuracy @50y

speed setting with above testing;

current speed to around 20fps increments till max speed is reach,if possible around 925fps (most ST barrel like this speed and some don't like it slow)

2. Install a barrel that I know is accurate and take shot string with the same setting as above

if accuracy are similar with no issue then shroud reinstalled with end cap and take group accuracy as noted above and compare groups, install NC LDC and take group accuracy as noted above, look at all the groups and compare--most like you can pinpoint issue area.

your current groups are pretty decent -- there are so many variations to have that groups and many more to get it tighter.

notic your power wheel on #2, it should be set to the largest TP hole, with a smaller TP aperture accuracy always open up.

@AZBOBCAT: Thank you for explain, sorry for my English. I prefer to shot at poi, but I couldn't hold the zero all the time. That is the problem I'm trying to solve. So, I just go ahead focus on the group. My gun come with regulated as a standard, and it has 2 power only.
@MonkyShine: I will update everything along the road, and I'm very GRATEFUL for all of the input. I learn something everyday.
@Longbrownbox: I use the JSB exact king 25.39gr, I waiting for AoA send me the king heavy .33.95gr soon. That way I can compare which one better. To be honest, I don't know how to mess with the velocity at all. That's the last things I do if I couldn't figure out the problem. Thank you for the warning.
@sniperlabyo: I just sented you a pm on the airgunnation, but I will send you the email too. You said larger TP is means more higher power?. Thanks
Vu

I called AoA, they said it maybe the clipping. So, I'm going mail to them, and see what happen.
While I'm waiting, this is last tried with my bull eyes and the gun rest. Compare to my Boss, that's a big different. All the group are one magazine (9 on .30cal and 11 on .25cal).
Thank you
