How to remove the barrel shroud on an FX bobcat

DO NOT ATTEMPT REMOVING THE BOBCAT'S SHROUD OR YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR BARREL AND TRANSFER PORT AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
Please don't take this the wrong way as I am only trying to help by keeping you from ruining your rifle and voiding the warranty. Is there a particular reason you want to remove the shroud?

The Bobcat's shroud is connected to the barrel. Twisting the shroud will twist the barrel which causes damage to the transfer port and barrel and serious. This will cause your accuracy and power to jump all over the place. You don't want to go down that road trust me.

"beercanshot"Would someone please list the steps in removing the shroud from the barrel on a bobcat. Also, does the scope have to be removed from the rail?

It would be great if someone would post some U Tube video on FX Bobcat maintenance and repair.
Even though it is no longer needed by the OP, we were actually working on this exact video, and someone else may find this helpful!

Great video guys! Keep 'em coming. I hope other vendors/manufacturers follow suit.
