How to decock a Airforce Texan?

I don't have a Texan but try holding that cocking bolt in that open and cocked position add a little tension grip it firmly then keep gripping it while your other hand presses and HOLDS the TRIGGER in the FIRE position keep pressing that trigger hold that trigger in that fire position don't let go and SLOWLY! close that bolt home and Then release that trigger. Press that trigger again. Did it fire?

Unfortunatly the Texans has a pesky auto-safety.

So you pull 1/4-1/2" back on the loading lever pressing the safety forwards and then pull the trigger, the hammer will fall with an audiable click.

From there the loading lever can be pulled all the way back with no issues.
