As per the title? How often are you guys getting through your breech seals?

My bobcat .22 managed about 7000 shots before the breech seal just popped out one day. While it was out I replaced it with a new one and ever since they have been a pain in the butt! They seem to be going faster and faster.

ive never had to change a breech seal on any of my guns before - all sub 12ftlb though, would that make much difference? All of a sudden it's frustrating me with its regularity.

Just to to be clear, the one that's just gone 10 minutes ago lasted less than 500 shots. I realise that 7000 was quite high for 1 breech seal to last

Don't have a bobcat. AA410 breech seal has lasted over 10 years. Marauder so far 1 year plus. RAW, well no seal so... .
Everything else I have around has the oring on the probe.
How often do you lube it?
The marauder is the only one (I recall) having it listed in maintenance in the owners manual. Crosman says lube seal/oring inside barrel every 500 shots.
I know a good number of AA400/500 owners and IF installed correctly , and lubed every now and then barring cuts from square pellets being hammered in, breeach seal oring last well over 10,000 shots.

Sounds like you've got something else affecting it. I'd go over that whole area of the rifle and anything else that gets close to that particular seal. Give it a good cleaning and maybe a little lubrication.
I've only had to replace 1 o-ring out of all my rifles in the past 7 or so years. I can't say for certain if I've shot 7000 pellets through any of them.
Good luck!
