How much more efficient is a 4 stage pump i.e. Hill pump, compared to a Benjamin 3 stage pump!?

Don't know, but I use the FX 3 stage pump and can easily pump up to bout 235 bar (that is where I get 4 mags at my current tune)
The Most annoying part with a hand pump is that it overheats so you have to stop for 5-10mins and let it cool down. Pumping is no issue and that comes from someone who is 172cm tall only weighs 62kg, has no muscle to speak of and with wrists as thin as a tablespoon ( over exaggeration, but seriously, I am a scrawny person )

Thanks for the input, but I already know how it is to pump, using a 3 stage pump. I would like to know if paying twice as much for a4 stage pump, will make it twice as "good" to pump...!? : )

I think the only real advantage of using a 4 stage pump over a 3 stage pump is the decreased effort required to stroke the 4 stage pump. Sort of like riding a 10 speed bike, the lower gears let you go up an incline easier with less effort but you must pedal more.
Stroke for stroke, the 3 stage pump probably puts out more air/stroke then the 4 stage pump.

I am a brand new PCP owner and with my .25 mrod I got an fx 4 stage. At 6'5" and 230# I just use the third stage. My neighbor wants to get a PCP as well and has been trying mine out. He doesn't have near the body mass and he needs to switch to stage 4. On stage 3 it takes about 75 strokes to go from 2k to 3k psi. I should get a count on stage four as well. I just prefer to power through and get back to shooting sooner.

Interesting... I had no idea you can "only" use three of the four strokes. So I guess that means you limit the travel on the pump, right?
I also have a Marauder and I hate it. Too much pumping for a lousy 16 shots. That is why I got the Wildcat...

Ahhh... I had no idea! Thanks for explaining. I thought about a tank as well, but I am first going to try my Benjamin pump with the Wildcat, and see how it goes. The Wildcat is supposed to come tomorrow... I hope. : )
