I don’t have a tank …yet. So I paid a LGS to fill my Benji Discovery $12.99. I wasn’t sure if my pump was not working or my gun. The rifle filled fine up to about 1900 psi jsut below the 2k mark on the rifle’s gauge. Since then I tried to pump it closer to the 2k line to no avail with my pump.

Sounds like you have a pump problem. The final o-ring on the Benji pumps is what usually goes out. Lots of info on-line on how to fix it.

I have an omega 75 cf tank and to initially fill it from 0 to 4500 psi was $12. Now to top it off from 3000 to 4500 psi is only $4. I go to a paintball shop. Like BigTinBoat said, you’ve got pump problems.

Also – $12.99 to fill a Disco is Highway robbery. Before I got my F8 it was $8 to fill my 66cf tank to 4500 from empty.

Dive shop is $8 for a tank(they didn’t say what size tank). But they sale a 20 fill card for $60. And they asked for the tank to be left over night? They said because of the heat? And since I’m just looking at what I need to step off the pcp ledge. I’ve not talked to the local fire station guys yet. How many boxes of doughnuts is a fill at the fire station? I still see in the first year its going to be easy to spend $6k.

dodge3500 the dive shop that has the 20 fill cards for $60 is in Maryville, Rhea’s Diving Services.  I’ve not used them, just called them to see if they filled PCP tanks.   I’m just checking what I will need when I start PCP.

If they are not filling dive tanks they will fill mine while I wait (about 15 min to allow for cool down).  If not I find something to do for a hour or so.

Yeah I know exactly where rheas is but I talked to them a few years ago about filling Paintball tanks and got a rude answer so I just forgot about using them.I generally drop off 2 scubas and 2 60 min Scott tanks to tank worx.:)
They can inspect and hydro test too.

$2 per 1K psi at a local paintball store.  $8 per fill at a local dive shop.  Both say they fill to 4500 psi but in reality is 4200.

I pay between 5 and 6 bucks to fill my scuba tank here in florida. They gave me a little grief the first time I went to fill my tank. They told me I had to prove I wasn’t diving lol, so I responded “No Problem” Ill just bring my guns into your scuba shop hahaha. They were not to sure how to respond to that but everything worked out.

The first couple of times I got my times I got my tanks filled at a paintball shop.  When I went back to have them filled the 2nd time the owner ask what I was using the for. When I told him PCP air rifles he got a funny look on his face. That was when he told me that his compressor did not have a filter to take out all of the moisture.  I had since found a dive shop to fill mine. he does check the date on the tank every time I take it in. The shop that I use fills to about 4700 PSI.  After the tank cools I do have 4500 PSI on the gauge.

Just something for you  guys that are using a paintball shop to fill your tank something to think about.

The Dive Shop in Ogden Ut used to fill my Great White to 4500 for $8 but they just went to $18.  They charge the same for a fill even if I start at 2000.  I have to drive about 50 miles each way to get to the shop.  Consequently I just bought a compressor from Mrod Air.

I got charge anywhere between 10-20 buck per fill, just depended on how the guy felt.  I usually brought it in there at 2800 and asked him to top it all the way off, which usually got me 4300 psi.  But those days are in the review mirror now that i got my own compressor.

I was quoted $4-$5 at a local paintball place in Ft Worth.  Better than that, Bruce at Airetex compressors said free!
