Usually pounds match dollars, so if a product is $1000- in the USA then it will be £1000- in the uk (1300 dollars approximately).

HOWEVER we have 20% tax on practically everything we buy, so I would have thought that as the UK manufacturer doesn't have to charge the 20% on an export item (I presume there is import duty though?) that the product would be cheaper than the direct exchange rate (if that makes sense).

ALSO and this is the BIG BUT! Daystates main market is the USA, NOT the UK, they sell vastly more guns in the USA than in the UK and because there are no restrictions in the USA its an easier product to produce for them.

I owned and operated a gun store and gunsmithing service for over 30 years. I always had people complaining about the price of the firearms they wanted a discount. In the firearm industry the markup on firearms is 25 to 30 percent and that doesn't include the cost of shipping. Then you have to buy a lot of them and you have a vast inventory so your customers can get what they want when they want it. Some items sit a long time before you sell them and they are not earning you interest on your investment. Then you have so much overhead to contend with. It would take a lot of space to list all of the costs of running a business and most people have no idea how much time is invested.

Now I have no idea what the markup is in the Air Arms industry But I would bet it is about the same or a little more than the Firearms industry but not by much if any at all. So please support the dealers and thank them once in a while for what they do because they don't hear enough good things from us to often. I'm new to air guns but really have enjoyed all of my interactions and transactions with both the dealers and other shooters and people on this forum. Great People and a great sport.

it was a interview GILES did at shot show NUREMBURG 2017 ,im very happy to support my go to AG dealers ive only done business with a couple , UTAH AIR ,working with this crew was a enjoyable experience there support is fantastic AIR GUN DEPOT another fine AG dealer treated me great ,went out of there way to make things work lastly the dealings WITH RAPID AIR WEAPONS was great ,,now AIR FORCE OWNS them and theres some adjusting they should be doing , always tried to pump the good theese people have done ,never done business from AOA the only reason as i stated above that i used there prices which are the same everywhere is cause they have all the products mentioned and the site is EZ to navigate ,when you here them talk price in the video ,well you get pumped for a product at a certain price, and when its 25 to 50 percent more its a let down ,,i enjoy reading you guys responses ,ive learned a little more about the business ,for one the tax es wasn't aware they were so high ,i did buy a PLANO CASE today on AMAZON and for the first time was taxed bummer ,this i no way was meant to be a witch hunt ,,it was info found on a video and thats all folks
