HOW MANY MAGAZINE DO I NEED ABOUT GET MORE OF THEM

Yeah it's too much for a gun you've never fired after owning it for 15 months. Go shoot it first and then decide what else you need.

Now that you're not worried about starving to death... If you have to take the bus to a public shooting range or a place you can shoot... you should spend our tax dollars on that first before buying anymore doodads.

You could muster up some self control like the rest of us and get a job. Start small, part time and work yourself up in the world. You're missing a lot sitting at home all the time. You gotta want it.

A friend of mine told me a funny story about his brother once... He said his oldest brother had a different dad and their mom treated him better than his three younger brothers. The oldest brother John never worked and slept late every morning. One morning after everyone else had eaten breakfast their dad goes into John's room and says "wake up, there's a man at the front door who wants to talk to you about a job". So John gets his clothes on and goes to the front door but no one is there. He says "there's no one here"... Dad just laughs and says "Did you think someone is going to knock on the door and offer you a job?"

We all have our demons to deal with... if you can control yourself half the time, you can control yourself all the time.

You may think I'm being an ass but I really do want the best for you and everyone else. Get after it.

There is no way to know if the gun is 100% functional until you fire it. You could shoot into a tree or some other suitable backstop. Find a 5 gallon bucket, put a few inches of rocks in the bottom, stack the rest of the way full with paper, newspaper, junk mail, phone books or whatever. Soak it in water and after all the paper is saturated you can turn the bucket on it's side and shoot into the stack. The wet paper will absorb the energy and the gravel will ensure nothing passes through. You could test it in your basement.

Could it be that reality may destroy the dream?

I have gas lines in my basement and I occasionally shoot my 30 cal down there! A richochet won't penetrate a gas line (if it's black pipe). I'm assuming you won't be aiming at the pipe! A really cheap and super effective and quiet trap is a cardboard box stuffed with rubber mulch sold in Home Depot or Lowes.

I have just the magazine that came with my rifle. You don't NEED anymore

For a more satisfying shooting experience I always try to have enough magazines, for every gun I own, to be able to shoot the gun's particular optimum string without having to stop shooting to reload the magazine that came with the gun, again and again. For example: If the optimum number of shots that my gun will shoot on one fill is 36, and the magazine takes 12 pellets, I would require 3 magazines. 36 / 12 = 3

My rationale is that since I must stop shooting because I would need to refill the cylinder with air after 36 shots, I might as well reload my magazines at that time too. If I only had one magazine, I would have to stop shooting every time I shot 12 pellets, although I would still have ample air to continue shooting at least two more magazines if I had them.

Another reason to have extra magazines (at least one more) is that should you misplace, break, or lose, the one that comes with your gun, you would have another one as a spare. If not, then you would have to hand feed single shot until you found a replacement - IF you could find one?

I thought the number was less but I just checked and his gun does 10 shots per fill... he's filling it with a hand pump. He's owned it for 15 months now and never shot it because he has no safe place to shoot it.

What should his next step be...

A - Buy $100 worth of magazines ?

B - Buy another ninja costume ?

C - Buy a $60 yearly membership to the local shooting range ?
