I bought an Impact, put glass on it that cost almost as much as the rifle and then “saved” money by putting an Atlas KNOCKOFF bipod on it. Just put a decent bipod on it and knocked over .10 of an inch off my previous best groups ever, on a fairly windy day. Buy once cry once.

It gives you confidence because you expect to do better,I say that is worth the price when you can afford to do it.

I expected to shoot like the internet guys when I got my rifle. I have collected data for months, there was a noticeable difference in stability and precision beyond confidence, although I’m sure that didn’t hurt either.
