How accurate is your hatsan pcp?

Hello. I would like to see how accurate your hatsan pcp is.
Lets hear what model you have.
What cal it is.
The range your shooting at.
What pellet your using.
What conditions you were shooting in. outdoors or indoors.
What you did to make it so accurate.
last... where are you from.
This should be fun...and we might learn something along the way.

Galatian QE II.25- un reg'ed - stacks 5 JSB's into one hole, outdoors at 35 yards- When I have the POI dialed in...

Spent this last week on the chrono, playing with the hammer spring. Finished with this-150 bar gives 13 shots with a std of 10. The hammer tensioner "creeps". This was my first attempt to adjust it. I understood that the factory starts with it 1/2 turn out from stock. Mine was fully turned in- towards the lesser tension.
I stopped at one full turn out, and kept the pressure below 160 bar for the first shot.
The original settings were providing results around a std of 32- 35. Velocities started at 733 and climbed to 816 fps by the 31st shot. No curve, the plot line in excel looked like the sales figures for beer at the SuperBowl- straight up. left to right.
Energy was less than my FX .22 at the beginning, to 37.55 ft/lbs at the end of the string.

Now I start at 847 fps, and finish at 862. All shots are over 40 ft/lbs. I use this for ground squirrels- I have two cylinders, for 26 shots.
That's a good day, right there!

Thanks 1kshooter thanks for the info and oakhonor. Thanks for the great read. Sounds like you have it set up pretty good. I'm just starting in this hobby. I've got a hatsan AT44-10 QE long .25 on order, Regulator is on its way order, (I will have to figure that out)...strait shooter mixed pellet pack is ordered with some extra pellets to just brake in the barrel, Most of my parts are in for my carbon fiber tanks. I'm just waiting for everything to get here... : ) Once I get this one shooting I will get one in 22 and might build a bullpup out of it. Thinking of setting up 2 tanks one under the other but that is just in my mind for now. I,m not new to shooting sports ,,,I did a lot of archery, and powder guns. This is my next step.... : ) Shoulder put me out of the archery life, All the sales from my archery stuff is turning into pellet gun stuff... :) Ammo prices got crazy... if you can find any. Then I found ted's holdover....opened my eyes. Now pellet guns are accurate...and I am into accuracy.. So this is my next step. Anyway thanks so far with all the input. Keep them coming. Richard

Hi shooter...I have been out of hunting for a few years the job I have is a lot of different hour and work most week ends. I retire in a little over a year then I will get back at it. Rabbit, squirrels, pests, and Big foot if I see one... : ) Maybe not big foot... I think i would just make him mad with a .25 and I can't outrun my buddy... : ) I like target shooting. Like i said I like accuracy. My son is setting up a range... today... at his home. But it isn't fun shooting in 18" of snow... : ) Got to love Wisconson... Made up a few field target but they may not hold up to these more powerful airguns. After I retire I want to go to the extreme bench rest shoot in AZ. Would be Way cool to do good there with a hatsan rifle. I'm sure we are thought as the underdog if were thought of at all... : ) I was saving up to get a FX wildcat... then saw on one of the form how well these hatsan pcp rifles shoot. I thought ...heck... I can set one up for me and get my wife one (that I can use ) with a different cal .22 and have less money then I would with one fx wildcat. But I sure love the fx rifles. I started at the end of this year ..doing a lot of kayak fishing my wife and I enjoy this also. I like tinkering and building things...but I am not fast at getting anything done... : ) I hope my stuff comes in soon I want to tack a few targets and get started. Looks like your a goose hunter... nice pic. Bet you didn't get them with a pellet gun...: ) Richard
