How About More RAW Threads!!!

Still haven't mounted a scope on my .30 LTR stocked RAW. LOVE the ambi stock, very well thought out. CF bottle & mod, mil-spec rail adjustable butt pab, a trigger that will amaze you, .... .... ... . Much lighter than the .22 thumbhole also.

John, what fps did Martin tune your .30 for? What is the expected shot count at the current tune? I realize you have yet to do any testing, but was curious if Martin sent a tune sheet with the gun or these figures were discussed? Really love the RAW and have been considering a .30.

Those RAW's sure are nice. Good luck with your build! From what I've read, it's well worth the wait (as painful as waiting is). I think there are so many FX threads because they are so popular and have come out with a few very nice rifles in a short amount of time. Lots of people are waiting on orders still and starving for any information they can get their hands on so they know what to expect and (if desired) can set their rifle up the way they want to. Just my opinion. I keep wanting to buy something other than FX but, then they come out with something new, that I end up wanting, right about the time I get my money saved up. I've put off buying at least 6 other non-FX rifles due to the Impact, Wildcat, Bobcat, 500, Verminator Extreme, and (most recently) the Independence (even though it's not new, it moved to the top of my list).

Fred, I have the FX Boss 30 and the RAW 357. I like the RAW MUCH better. more accurate, more quiet. a little heavier, but well balanced.
I'll try to get a picture if it posted tomorrow. I have the laminated sporter model.

I cheated and called around and found the one I wanted in stock at airtanksforsake and had it in a week.

FredSG, I feel your pain buddy!, am also awaiting a RAW, it's a TM-1000 laminate thumbhole w/ carbon shroud & barrel sleeve, if it shoots like all the other RAW's out there it's certainly worth the wait!

Mine is not a 30 Cal and not an X. It's a HM1000 in 25 Cal. The stock HM is a little long for my taste, so I had Martin make the barrel 2" shorter. It's tuned to shoot just under 40 ft/lbs so it doesn't pack the punch of the X in 30 or 357, but its quiet and deadly accurate and has plenty of punch for anything I'm going to put in it's cross hairs. Scope is the Optisan Viper 8-32. Ordered just about this time last year and waited 16 weeks to get it, but it was well worth the wait.
