Hosted my first pure Powder Burner for a day of airgunning.

I have a friend who is a frequent PBer (mostly hunting), and had seen my Impact and was curious about it being just an airgun. I had him out to our range (just 50 yards) yesterday to let him try it out. He was absolutely amazed at several aspects of today's air gunning. First, the gun was cool. Next, he was amazed at the science of tuning them, particularly as it parallels custom handloading for PBs. But most impressive was the accuracy. I'm not a pro tuner by any means, but I currently have my Impact MKII PP tuned to an average velocity of 914 fps, with an ES/SD of 7/2 (consistently over multiple 23-count mags of 44.75's). This has been giving me consistent sub-half-inch down to to quarter-inch groups on the 50 yard range. I am currently resisting my urge to improve, and trying to just enjoy shooting it for a while. Figured it was a good time to put it in my friend's hands. He had an absolute blast. Don't know if he'll come over from the dark side, but he definitely knows a little more about airguns now.

I even made him the "souvenir video" of his adventure using the Side-Shot GoPro scope cam, which he also thought was really cool.

This is one of my first scope-cam videos, and the first I've posted. I'm still working things out for getting the best quality. I went into this knowing light is king, so a range backstop that spends the vast majority of the day in shadow from some trees is less than ideal, but I'm working on it. Tough to shoot at 240 fps for pellet-in-flight slomo and keep decent image quality in shadow and low light.

Here's a link to what I gave him to commemorate his first time on a serious airgun (plus every bit of practice making videos helps)... it's a bit long at roughly 10 minutes, but does seeing pellets in-flight every really get boring?

Yeah, I figure if he starts thinking about a PCP, I'll tell him he could fill a supply tank with my compressor. He lives in my neighborhood, so it could be a very productive walk down the street for him. Actually, the real benefit is being able to say "Really, Honey, I don't need to get a compressor right now... it'll be so much cheaper than it is for most!"

His wife is going to hate me.
