I got the idea for homemade targets from this forum and did some research on the internet and came up with this reusable splatter targets for cheap. It starts with a foam camping pad(under $8), fluorescent duct tape and $1 spay paint from Walmart.
I cut the camping pad to fit in my plywood pellet trap and covered it with duct tape. Then I cut some squares of duct tape for bullseyes and put them on parchment paper for painting with a contrasting color. I had some orange fluorescent paint that worked great. It's kind of tricky to cut squares of tape so this part could use some improvements.
The final product looks like this.
And it works great! The holes without splatter are from the first session. When it gets too cluttered, just repaint with black and stick on more bulleyes. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. The cheap flat black paint from WM dries quickly so it is easy to do in the middle of a plinking session or better yet, I will be able to make several of these from just one camping pad and rotate them.
Please ignore the group size! I am in the middle of trying to tune my M-Rod. It's a work in progress.
