Holy cow my gun came!!!!

Rocko,
I think he was asking at what level does he need to stop shooting and refill. I believe the gun fills to 2800-2900 psi (please correct me if I am wrong!) Ryan when you do your Chrony string, you will know at what point your velocity falls off and how many shots it takes to get to that point. I was having trouble with my marauder and the only way to diagnose the problem was through a chrony test. It's worth the $125!

Doc,
thats what I was wondering. I'll order one tonight. Obviously that'd be about the only way to know for sure as temp, altitude, barometric pressure would all be different all over the country, so there would be no real "set answer" without running strings through the chrony.

Are there things to take in account when looking for a chrony? I remember reading someone saying they use there's in the basement with a light directly over head for "error" purposes. I suppose I'd like one (if possible) that actually records the string for me and gives me ES,high and low velocity.

There is a cheaper one but I think it is for arrows. I bought the next one up. If you watch one of Ted's videos, it's the same one. There are several different makes and models but I went with just the basic one. It is red in color. You really don't even have to set the rods up if there is enough sunlight, just shoot over the top of it. I didn't have a chrony at first and so we shot until the pellets started to drop. I think (not 100% sure) on the review he was able to shot about 4 mags. You can use this as a guide. If the rilfe is shooting well you might be able to hold off for now. If you can't get a brand of pellet to have a close group, you will need to do a full chrony spectrum.

Actually AJ, if you look up the blown up pictures of the Evanix and the JKHan rifles guts there are a lot of similarities. That's actually another reason I got this rifle after I was going to purchase Jimmies Evanix. I had confidence in comparing the two after doing all the homework.

They hold the same mother company and then both being Korean obviously is where the bloodmix.

I must say though, aesthetically, your rifle is leaps and bounds with that two-tone goodness you got going on. That thing is sexy!

DAMN YOU AJ! You just made me look at PA and got me thinking... I could dump some gold and buy that rifle...

Swing,
I started with one of the folding chrono's do not do that. The reason I later went with the "Competition Electronics Prochrono Digital Chronograph" not the "pal" model from the same company was it was what I saw used at the Field Target Nationals and Worlds. It will store 9 different strings of up to 99 shots each (even after turned off) gives to High/low/extreme spread/standard deviation and average fps. They cost less than $100 after a brief Internet search. It also has a Data port (which I've never used) for hooking to a printer and heck tehse days maybe blue tooth????(really not sure on that one) Dollar for dollar nothing else can touch it. I know several National champions and several tuner who all use this model. Again the "pal" model (only $10 less) is NOT the right one. The folding ones can gives errors if not perfectly flat, some are very light picky and when compared side by side with multiple units at the same time the "Competition Electronics Prochrono Digital Chronograph" is the most accurate.
There are several very new maker out recently none are time proven yet, and 2 different companys released unit with horrible bugs that do seem to be worked out.
Being able to store all those strings and shots really helps when tuning and testing airguns (also good for anything that shoot).
