@$$hole broke into my car, took my pellets and tank

I'm furious. I'm beyond furious actually! This morning my neighbor calls me and tells me the inside of my car is trashed and I should come take a look. I walk down and sure enough, the bastard wedged my passenger door open enough to unlock the car. Threw the contents of my glove box across the passenger seat, but took the 2 full tins of .22 JSB 18.1 grain pellets. Then took my change of course. Then the evil bastard looks in my back seat and takes the brand new carbon fiber tank I JUST bought yesterday afternoon. The tank I had been saving for 10 months to buy. Hundreds of dollars gone to some scum bag who's going to go sell it somewhere so he can get his next fix....I know today could have been much worse, but this sucks.

To the guy who took these items:
If you need money, just come knock on my door next time and ask...

That is all.

Michael I did the same, security camera's around my house after someone stole one of my Brocock Contours from my lounge. I was actually working in the garage attached to the house when it was taken so it must have been someone local who knows when I am working. It sucks when you work hard to get what little you have only to have some scumbag steal it from you. I can't file a claim for it because we have a $1000 deductible per theft, they could have at least stolen my whole collection, lol. The Sheriff's deputy told me it was borderline reportable, he told me that they do not post it if it has a value under $950 so it was borderline reportable. So we don't appear to care about theft if it is less than $950, weird!
Now I have cameras recording all entries into my shop and house, this was not the first theft but it was the one that made me say enough, this has to stop. The damage to the OP's car was probably as high a dollar value as the goods stolen, that would madden me, these thieves need to get off whatever it is they are on and work for a living like the rest of us, shame on them, Neil.

Quickly check Craigslist for your missing tank in your area and surrounding county's pawn shops I had two scopes stolen off my porch both rare both expensive I found a guy on Craigslist selling both listed individually I picked up on they were both the same guy too much of a coinsedence I set up a buy when I met him confronted him him told him the odds he has both these scopes astronomical he buckled imediately and gave my scopes beg me not to call the cops and that he got them from someone who owed him mony his teeth were missing I reported him anyways after I got my scopes back!

Sorry WheresWaldo, that stinks! Pretty good advice from Pellethunter. I'd hit the pawn shops. In my state, anything pawned above a certain dollar amount (sorry, not sure what the amount is) the proprietor is required by law to take ID from the seller for his records. No records/copy of ID for high dollar items, proprietor is in big trouble. If it's a junky stealing your stuff, he/she will need to convert a tank like that to cash, unless their dealer is into airguns, I suppose. Hope you get some satisfaction, man! Keep us posted, please.

Thanks guys for all the advice, and the cops were most certainly called! Even though the cops said the chances of finding the items is slim I did the rounds to all of the local pawn shops and gave them pictures of the tank and told them it has been reported stollen. I was expecting to get blown off by the pawn shops but they loved that I brought a picture with me because they can get in a lot of trouble for accepting stollen items. I think that a CF tank is unique enough to set off some alarms anyways but hey...

I'm still renting my place for now so I don't have free reign to set up cameras but it's something I plan on talking to me landlord about! I will be buying a safe though...Well AFTER I buy another $500 CF tank in a few months. I'll be trolling craigslist for all of MA for any CF tanks. I'm praying to find it on craigslist....That would just be too sweet hahaha.

I know it shouldn't have been in my car but I left it in there because I planned on going right to the dive shop when it opened on saturday to get the tank filled and begin the endless refills for my Disco! Lesson learned. Thanks for the advice guys!

If anyone has a CF tank for sale please let me know! I'm back in the market for one!

Bummer!
I lived in the dump of Spokane WA, had the same car break in thing happen but mainly a sleeping bag that was a gift to the misses was gone, no biggie really but I printed 20 signs offering a "Reward $100.00forf information leading to a personal conversation with the person responsible for theft of sleeping bag from green dodge, GUARENTEED NO Police involvement!" then I walked 10 blocks putting them up, got back to the apartment and a shaky thin sick looking person was there waiting to take me to talk to his room mate. Hadnt been 30 minutes.
Truly dangerous but it worked.
In most States theft under $1,000 is not a felony so the Police care very little.

I just thought about this also if on the off chance that it was not a tweeker or heroin addict and mb they seen it in there and it was ther target in the first place for pb or whatever it has to end up at the fill shops eventually and like Rocky said with a serial number the shop may hold it once Somone try's to fill it with Internet u could make sure every fill shop within 100 miles has the pic and serial #

Thanks Guys! Most of the junkies up here right now are hooked on heroin. I work in South Boston and they have become so bad up here that it's like a scene from Dawn of the Dead. We actually call them zombies for the most part because they have that dead man walk down pat!

I'm sending the pictures and serial numbers to all the surrounding dive shops and pawn shops just in case!
