We are pleased to announce a new projectile for .25 caliber enthusiasts around the world:
The H&N Heavy Slug .25
Expanding the weight options of H&N .25 caliber slugs, the new slug is designed for long-range tough game and predator hunting with powerful airguns.
The new "Heavies" will be available in diameters of .2495 and .2505, the weight variants will be 38 grains, 40 grains, 42 grains, 44 grains and 46 grains.
The slugs will of course feature the new advanced hollow point ("T-Slot") design, which combines a large meplat and an optimized cavity. The T-Slot ensures reliable and controlled deformation – for a quick and humane kill.
Like all new H&N slugs, the Heavy Slug .25 was developed and tested in close cooperation with South African pro shooter, Airsmith and YouTuber Air Hunter Gerhard. In his latest epic video (shot in Utah), he shows us how these projectiles open up new possibilities for him when hunting with airguns.
But watch out: the video is especially not suitable for squirrel lovers.

May 13, 2022 at 7:55 am LinkWith the current disruptions in the global supply chains and the challenges to get space in containers, I would cautiously estimate a delivery time of 5-6 months for the US and all other oversees customers, and 2-3 for Europe.
Best regards

May 13, 2022 at 1:30 pm LinkI have no words to express how much i would like to be able to shoot something like this ( .25 ) or i do, but there will be some strong words in among there as my feelings about not being allowed to do so run high.
PS: Just ordered 5 tins of the .177 16 grain slugs,,,,,, very much looking forward to those arriving, and they will next week, and next week seen very promising in regard to weather.
And it is as sure as AMEN in the church that i will be jumping on any 20 grain slugs i see for sale.

May 13, 2022 at 10:11 pm LinkAn hour ago I ordered some H&N .249 30gr and 34gr slugs. While looking forward to the new heavier slugs to try I have to repeat the question mentioned previously; “How long are these?”. What rifling twist rate are these intended for and what rifles have a twist too slow to stabilize these heavyweights? Please talk about what bbls. factory testing has intended these to be accurate in.
Thanks,
Tom

May 13, 2022 at 11:18 pm LinkThis video is a great marketing tool. That was some impressive shooting. The expansion must be something to have that effect on pest animals. The heavier slugs look promising. I’m anxious to hear what other airgunners’ experiences will be like using this line of H&N slugs.

May 14, 2022 at 9:57 am LinkI believe it's been asked three times before, making me think people really want to know, how long are these slugs? I would need to know as I would not order without at least knowing if they would fit in my magazines. Thanks for your efforts. That video is proof positive they have paid off. We will be eager to get these.

May 14, 2022 at 6:38 pm LinkIt should be easier to make them go fast in .25 than in .22. What do you think?

May 15, 2022 at 8:55 am LinkAnd so, what is the length of these slugs.. Metric or standard is fine. Twist rates are different in different barrels and magazines all have different length projectiles they allow. So.. What length are these slugs? The picture you provided makes them look longer than most slugs a lot of us can actually use.

May 15, 2022 at 1:19 pm LinkLooks like Gerhard was running the 46 grain slugs through an impact magazine in the video. That gives us a clue about length.

May 16, 2022 at 11:09 am LinkMy apologies for not responding to the length questions immediately. I had to get the answer from our development department first. And it was already weekend in Germany…;-)
The lengths are (ascending by weight) 8.6 mm, 9.0 mm, 9.4 mm, 9.8 mm and 10.2 mm. However, the tolerance in length are bigger than the ones for the diameter, which is due to the manufacturing process.
Best regards
Jörg
