H&N Greens

I’m currently using H&N FTT Green 9.65 gr in my HW 77 with amazing accuracy. Yesterday I was putting groups of seven shots into a raged hole the size of an old Aussie one cent piece ( approx 17 mil) at 30 metres. I was having all sorts of accuracy issues with lead until I started using the greens.

I was thinking of buying some H&N Baracuda Green 12.65 gr and was wondering if anyone has compaired the two different weights. The head size of both are the same but I am interested in seeing what the difference may be. The 9.65 are $26.00 for a tin of two hundred and the 12.65 are $33.00 for a tin of two hundred so before I fork out the extra cash I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the 12.65 gr.

Thanks

Gary

Thanks gamyrick I live in Queensland Australia and buy my pellets from these guys online. They have listed the 12.96 gr as 5.50 head size and I ordered them last Monday. They should arrive early next week and I’ll post how they go.

I really can’t complain with using the 9.65 gr as they have transformed the accuracy of my HW77. They do however make that familiar crack sound associated with lighter pellets but are still on target.

I picked up my heavier greens from the post office yesterday. This morning I took my HW77 from the cold safe(it’s coming to the end of winter here) and fired off 5 shots of the 9.56gr, 25 metres. I then fired off 5 shots of the 12.65 gr at the same target. One flier and that was me, also the group was 40 mil higher then the poa. Very impressive in my books. Both sizes fitted the same into the breach, nice fit. The skirt on the 12.65 is a lot larger. I also fired both sizes at a board of pine wood 20 mil thick and at the same distance. The 12.65 went in a further 4 mil.

Very happy with these pellets also the sonic crack has gone. In my opinion they are more consistent then the lead and there’s no sorting. Although they are more expensive to me they are worth it. I will test them out at longer distances and see how the accuracy goes.
