h&n crow magnum issues.

so today i was bored and decided to check out some things. I mainly shoot JSB 25.39. But changed to air arms 25.4's. Been wanting to get into shooting slugs and casting my own ammo for my .25 cal gauntlet. when i first got it i had ordered some H&N crow maganums, and H&N Baracuda hunters. Neither shot good out of my gauntlet. so i sat down and measured pellets crudely with calipers to see what was what.

heads are 6.33

skirts are 6.55 JSB exact king 25.39's

are 7.69 long

------------------------------------------------------------------

heads are 6.33

skirts are 6.50 Air Arms diabolo fields 25.4

are 7.74 long

-----------------------------------------------------------------

heads are 6.32

skirts are 6.43 H&N baracuda hunters 27.47

are 8.59 long

-------------------------------------------------------------------

heads are 6.30

skirts are 6.42 H&N crow magnums

and 8.53 long

Does any one know of a way to increase head diameter on crow magnums accurately. I think this is why they are horrible to shoot. they must be tipping in the barrel with such a small head diameter. the Baracudas could have a slightly larger head diameter as well. But given these two are both hollow or dimple pellets this makes it more interesting to try and expand the heads for better contact. guess a few hundredths make a huge difference here. JSB and Air Arms shoot nice tight groups. Both the H&N are like shotguns. all over the map.

Any thoughts?
