Huma now available for FX Impact

No idea, but don’t get too excited by the looks the Huma seems similar, it’s piston will be also stuck in the action as you unscrew the reg body.

plus it’s piston seems made of brass, that’s like butter in translation. So be very careful when pulling it out when stuck. I watched the AOA video, they say by doing this (any work on the reg area) will void your warranty, so be careful not to leak afterwards.

The regulator housing of the factory and the Huma are both made of Brass. The big difference is that the factory piston is plastic and the Huma is metal. Having removed both and removing the pistons and changing different Bellville washer, you definitely have to push out the pistons with air. The Huma is more robust and easier to repair and adjust.

Ernest makes a small tube that fits neatly around the regulator piston. You can then easily remove the piston without using the air method. It comes out with the washers in place so you don’t risk loosing them. If you think you might be doing your own work on the Impact I think it’s worth getting one. I’ve used it many times and highly recommend it.
