Holy smokes Loren . Those are some slippery pills indeed . I would imagine a 1:10 or faster twist rate is needed for a bullet that long .

As far as getting a powder burner . Where’s the fun in that ? Go to store by some off the shelf ammo , load and shoot at 1.50$ per trigger pull . And still wonder why you can’t get under an 1” at 100 yards . Shoot over a chrony and see that the factory ammo has an ES of 250 FPS in one box . Look into reloading and see that once you have everything bought and time invested , you could have just bout a “pellet gun “ that did the same for a fraction .

Thats my story and I’m sticking to it .

I cast them. Length is 1.028 and 112gr. Yes needs a 1:10 or faster twist rate. My Texan has the power to throw them, but sadly not the twist rate to keep them stable.

It will stablize these with a .31 BC. and 86gr.

Just ran the miller stability formula, a 1 in 9.5" twist would be optimal for the 112's.

What twist rate is on the texan?
