Higharchunter 110 grain hp/ updated 100 yard group

Not the greatest shooting conditions today, 16 mph winds gusting to 22 and shooting with a new scope, but I am very happy with the preliminary results. Shooting these out of a cothran 308 based on the disco, with a modified valve so that I get 4 shots at a low power tune (800fps). Tj 1-20 twist 25 inch barrel, from a shooting rest. 3x9 bug buster scope. I shot 3 groups like this today, all are basically the same. That's a four shot group, 2 in the same top hole. Thank you Ron for allowing me to test these! Great bullet, very consistent groups and with better conditions I will stretch them out further.

Not the greatest of wind conditions here today, sse winds at 10 mph and gusting. But, I am continually impressed with this bullet out of my 308.

I'm calling this 1/2 inch at 100 yards. I did shoot 2 other groups at 3/4 and less, so pretty consistent groupings.

50 yards is the top picture. With the wind and the frustrating day yesterday with the scope, I wanted to see if I worked out the issues with the scope. The bullet performed flawlessly. I will stretch it out to 75 and 100 when I can. Here in Alabama I rarely have occasion to shoot over 100 yards even with my powder burners. But its nice to know I have that option. 1-20 twist in my 308 will shoot 50 jsb, 78.6 bbt, and the 110 grain accurately. Over 125 grain im not sure would be a good match for the twist. I have a 100 grain fp from Ron that I will be shooting soon. At 100 yards I will be dealing with the air supply of the small disco tube as the major factor in poi. But I can tether to accurately assess the bullet.

Great feedback. There is another guy on here looking for a good bullet for his .308 Quackenbush Exile. I talked to Dennis Quackenbush today to find out the twist rate on the exile and he informed me that it will be between 1:18 to 1:20 due to the setup on his rifling machine he gets varying results. Well 18 or 20 they should shoot great in the .308 Exile. I am sending some to R&L to test in the .308 Texan. AOA will have them in stock by next Saturday.
