Here is Ted's new video with the Impact

I like that new scope with the geared-dial indicator. Very useful...

He mentioned in this last video that as promised..."soon" he will post a video on how he won the EB. At least some tips...

I venture to speculate that the EB-win "secret" is in large part to practicing a proper/consistent rifle hold with some decent rest setup (bi-pod, etc) as the minimum requirement. Then of course you have to get to know your rifle and pellet. He mentioned in his video before the EB that pellet speed can dramatically affect accuracy and you have to experiment to find the best velocity for your rifle/pellet combo. He used .25 MKI pellets in his video when he got the best shot groupings, so wondering if he used that same pellet at the EB... But his was one of only a handful of .25 calibers amongst all the .30s.

So after all these years as "Holdover Ted" he has found a Special Scope that he can now correctly dial and is now "Dial It In Ted"? Really? If that scope is made for dialing ( the indicator Ted pointed out) why in the world would the manufacturer clutter up the reticle with that christmas tree reticle vs a nice fine cross hair? Anyway, all my scopes have indicators that clearly show how many turns are on the turret and I've never gotten lost with what turn I'm on. And for the ones where I have a large diameter aftermarket turret wheel, one just needs to put a dot over the pointer on the wheel to show if you are on the right revolution or wound back 1 or 2 revolutions. Some should tell Ted he could also put a positive stop on the turret so he could wind it back to his zero stop and then dial back down to the correct range.
.
Clearedhot,

Ted gets compensated for his reviews so buyer beware.

I don't care if Ted gets compensated or not, I enjoy his videos and think I am smart enough to decide on my own if I want to maybe buy the product he has shown. Ted gives his opinion. You have to decide on your own how to or if you are going to buy the product. There are more ways than one to use a scope for long range shooting. I didn't know that the "Special Scope" was available. Now I do, due to Ted's video. Good going, Ted. Keep the videos coming!

Did you find a location that sells the MTC Viper Pro? I've seen other Vipers around, but can't find that particular model. Seems he may have a pre-release.

While you may be critical of the large turret scope, I find the innovation a nice to have. and if it makes shooting more enjoyable for him, why shouldn't he extol the scope's virtues?

I'm just jealous that I don't have a couple farms to hunt like that one. Endless practice opportunities during migration season on a moving target. What more could you ask for?

Video was good. Seemed to have his heart in it again, so looks like we may see a few more before too long.
