Help with velocity testing issue

I'm fairly new to higher powered airguns, and I'm confused by my Talon P and Caldwell chronograph.

The manufacturer ratings state it should shoot 400-900 fps depending on pellet weight and power wheel setting. I read that it shoots about 850 fps with 25 gr pellets and the power wheel turned all the way up. I had some old H&N Barracuda Hunter Extremes laying around. The tin says 28.4 gr so I was expecting 820-840 fps.

I set up the chrony about 2-3 feet from the end of the barrel with the tank filled to about 2800 psi according to both the gauge on the gun and the one on the pump. Six shots with the moderator and another two without all registered between 920 and 935 fps.

This chrony's readings match my friend's chrony when using them with powder burners. I've weighed my pellets and they're 28.6-30.1 gr. The gun is stock except for the moderator.

I'm not sure what is going on here. I doubt my gun is shooting that much faster than the manufacturer ratings, but I also doubt my chronograph is off by almost 10 percent. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe it is shooting that fast then. I guess I just assumed that the manufacturer ratings were about the max it could do under ideal circumstances. You know how companies like to oversell their products.

I'm hoping to borrow a friend's chrony to verify sometime in the next couple of weeks. I was a little concerned I was doing something wrong or something was out of spec. Thanks for the reply so I can stop worrying about it.
