Tuning Help with sig mcx

My buddy gave me a sig mcx . You can hear it leaking up above the trigger. I called sig and they don’t have parts. they said to contact airgun depot. I did and they said no parts or rebuild kit. Does any one know where I can find parts or information to get her up and running. I couldn’t find any videos on YouTube. I wonder if it’s just hardware store o rings or some part I can’t get. Thanks for any help.

John

Do they at least provide a part schematic? So you have a reasonable idea how to dis-assemble/re-assemble?

It might just be a O-ring, most likely metric. Otherwise, sell it off for parts to another sig owner that got stuck.

I do not recommend stop leak products. They will most likely gum up all the internals.

NOPE! SIG outright refuses to disclose their secrets nor offer help or support to their customers.

Our disposable society has creeped into our airguns. :( After owning mostly crosman's, I was shocked after getting Liberty's to find out that there were zero parts available. There are many others that have little to no parts support. Now, even crosman doesn't spare everything on every gun. I think the DPMS is similarly priced to the Sig MX, and only a few seals and springs are available, They do have schematics, though. ;)

I will take it apart one of these days. I saw videos of the guts and feeding issues but I haven’t seen any videos about leaks. It is a shame they are no help whatsoever at this price point. Sig asked me if it was under warranty so some body somewhere has parts. Oh well I guess they don’t want me to buy any sig products. Wonder if sig makes it or someone else. Thanks fellas, john

Someone else makes them I’m pretty sure. They have a air gun smith on staff. I have a mcx and it started leaking all the air through the action as soon as you screwed the cart on. Had to pay 60$ plus shipping for them to repair it. Work order said some pin had fallen out, they replaced and sent it back. I’m either gonna get out of air gunning or buy a good pcp setup. Costs more than my freakin Ar15 though!

I know that on Ebay UK you can pick up a seals kit, it includes the O-rings, flat washer & nylon seal for the CO2 cylinder.

Same seller has a kit for the .22 Virtus too
