HELP REQUIRED - RAW HM 1000X ordered

Hi I am Brian. I have ordered the RAW HM1000X -25- W etc, and expect it will be ready when I visit the US from New Zealand in Oct - Nov. I have a quire or two concerning bringing it out of the US. Is that considered exporting when it's for my own use? I read that for a rifle or shotgun one needs an export licence so I wonder if an air rifle comes under that same heading? I have sent to US customs concerning this but there is a waiting period as they are back logged 3 plus weeks. Does anyone out there have any knowledge on this subject? I am a US citizen living abroad. Thanks for any help. B

It's your personal rifle and you are traveling, no worries, IF you comply with ALL TSA requirements. You will need a TSA approved case, the rifle may NOT have any air in it, and I am sure a few more things (like the special sticker they will put on your locked case.
DO contact the TSA and DO print a copy of any/all regulations and carry that with you, some airport workers may not exactly know the law/rules/regulations.
People fly over seas with airguns all the time for shooting events. Just do your homework.
Note I would have no idea about any NZ law forbidding your owing an airgun (seems like there okay there though).

Nothing different than normal topping off of the gun. Will just take more air. Do you have some air source already? A 4,500 psi carbon fiber tank is best. Dive tanks are typically only rated for 3,000-3,300 psi. Not high enough to be practical. Use the search function and look for air tanks, compressors and hand pumps. Lots of good info has already been covered on this forum.
