Found one...Help me decide on a Chronograph

My Beta Chrony has lasted over twenty years. It folds up so just lives in my range bag for when I need it. Batteries last for six months to a year and it just werqs. It is picky with lighting use these harbor freight lights in the house and I put it in the shade outside and remove the diffusers. Good for 30-7000 fps.

If you shoot it like this you will get the pellet right back at you so don't.

As far as ease of setup just set the lmbr on the bench push one button that’s it all done. None of that rubber band game attaching it to the end of the barrel lol , no weight on the end of the barrel, and hope ya get it exactly in the right spot or the fx does not work, Lmbr nailed it on their unit, it’s not cheap plastic either, it’s extremely well built, small portable

I’ve had none of the issues above with the fx. I bought it used from a member here, and it’s worked flawlessly. It’s accurate, easy to setup, small and compact for transport, and the app is fairly easy to work. Not to mention you can set the app up for different guns, and pellet weights, and it’ll give you all sorts of info instead of just a set of numbers in a shot string. I keep it in my gun case, and pull it out when needed. Few seconds setup, and you’re ready to rock! Some say the batteries don’t last long. I don’t have this issue either, but rechargeables would fix that no problem.
good luck in your search.

My FX has been great easy set up very accurate. Don’t really understand the complaints about the rubber bands takes me about 30 seconds to set it up on my barrel. Is it worth $200 I don’t know but I’ve used others and the FX is by far the easiest to set up and use plus my phone telling me each shot speed is nice since I don’t have to look until the mag is empty.

I have a conventional chronograph from Competition Electronics, the Prochrono, and it works well. I didn't realize how much tuning I would be doing indoors, so I bought a Magnetospeed chrono. It utilizes magnetic sensors, so no light source is required. Also, since it measures with the muzzle attachment, no shooting space is needed. I usually just shoot into a box beside my stool, when working inside. It might be worth taking a look, if you anticipate working much indoors.
