Help me decide

I have a Uragan in 25 coming from Talon Tunes in coming this week and want to put a 6 x 24 FFP scope, target only no hunting. I have narrowed it to:

Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 FFP, APR-2D MRAD Reticle for $479

or

Athlon Optics Argos BTR GEN2 6-24X50 First Focal Plane Riflescopes for $361

Anyone with experience with these? Input would by greatly appreciated!

Also if you have a suggestion please add.

I have a 6-24 Arken SH4 Gen 2 that I’m very impressed with. I believe they are in stock and ready to ship. $450 or so.

I both of those scopes. Personally I like the Athlon a little better, then again I am not a big fan of the MRAD. Just too much on the reticle for me. I do like the Helix and wish I would have bought the SFP version of the reticle.

I don't have any experience with those scopes you have listed. The Argos has 18 MIL vs the 11.6 MIL on the Helix in elevation adjustment. How far are you shooting? What is your end goal? What do you want to be able to do?

For me, I want to shoot long-range with clarity. Having the torrent tracking being spot on.

I shoot precision 50 to 100 yards, eyebox is important with clarity also important. I think they both have enough MIL adjustments as I use adjustable mounts mostly.

I have five of the Helix Scopes in 6-24, both SFP and FFP. I really like them both but will probably only purchase FFP in the future.

Spend a tad more to get a Athlon Helos G2 6-24. It is such an awesome scope for the money it's crazy!

Glass almost equal to the Midas TAC series but loaded with features and has that quality feel in all the controls

No experience with that exact Athlon model, but I have been very impressed with the Athlon Midas on a friends .25-06

Clarity in the Midas Tac is way better all around than the Argos...Good choice.

Yep, clarity of the Midas Tac is the best of them all. In some cases like the Arken , not by much and could be a good alternative for $150 less.
