Help.....HW97K or AA TX200 MKIII..it's driving me crazy!

Like many others here I have both. ( TX and HW) You probably will too eventually, you just need to decide which one you want first. Whichever one you chose, as soon as you shoot it you will begin to wonder if the other one shoots better/different? Now there is one more to consider that no one here has mentioned. The Air Arms Pro Sport. As far as looks its the prettiest (IMO)

As far as cost its the most expensive. What kind of shooting are you planning on doing with it? If you are plinking...?....any and all of the guns mentioned will be more than you need and you will love shooting it. If you are shooting offhand (IMO) the Pro Sport is the best handling gun. Little tough on cocking when new but it will get easier and with a soon to be installed 13 ftlbs. tune kit the strength required to cock it will be no different than the others. You are in a great position right now having to decide which great airgun you want to add to your collection. Enjoy it. do all the research...watch all the videos.....look at all the pictures.....pick one and you will have made the right choice. (Theres no wrong choice here so you CAN'T go wrong) One last thing to consider is that if field target competition is your goal then no other rifle listed here can even come close to the TX 200 in wins.More food for thought. If you do buy a Air Arms, do youself a favor and save till you can get the Walnut version. They are beautiful.

Go for the TX200 HC, I own one for ages now with a walnut stock in .22 and it's by far the most fun and gorgeous springer ever IMHO. I can shoot sub MOA groups at 55 yards all day with it. The trigger is better than the Rekord trigger in the HW's, the blueing and finish on the rifle is just awesome, and it just something you want to hold all day. The HW97 is fun if you're someone who likes to tune rifles, but if you want something that shoots out of the box like a tuned rifle, honestly... go TX200!

And yes, I've owned a couple of HW97/s and 77's, and they all left my collection My TX200 on the other hand... I'm going to take that thing with me to Walhalla.

Let's be honest, would you say no to something as beautiful as this?

Jonnes,

It is really damn hard to say no to something as beautiful as that....

Thats part of my problem right now...LOL........I can't stop the lusting after it and its KILLING me!!

Brislee,

I appreciate the input. My use for any air rifle that I would have is pretty much only two fold. One..I really enjoy target shooting. I have a small "range" in my yard that I can shoot out to about 45 yards. I'll spend an entire day doing just that some days. Two...I really enjoy hunting small game and always have, particularly squirrels. And yes sir....I am aware I can't really go wrong with any of the rifles that I am interested in owning. They are all high quality! I have also done much "studying" on these rifles and am now running outa videos to watch that I haven't already seen.

And let me add one more thing....I'm having so much darned fun right now. I shoulda jumped into this a while ago.....
