HELP! Daystate Wolverine R HP .22 cal

My first question is, how is the gun shooting at that power and what makes you want to change it?



From my personal experiences with several .22 cal platforms, 850-880 is the absolute sweet spot for those monsters. 

As for the reg pressure on the R, I believe Daystate uses a higher than average reg pressure due to the design of the slingshot hammer. Normally those guns operate at full unregulated bottle pressure and even then are incredible efficient and consistent for a non- regulated rifle. 

For the hammer spring tension, there is a way to make some small changes in the hammer throw which will change your speed, efficiency and characteristics of the rifle around. I don’t have the thread readily accessible but a quick google search should reveal the instructions on how to do that. 

I currently own a Wolverine R in .22 cal ( not the HP model). It shoots the 18.1 JSB’s at a stupidly consistent 875 FPS. At first I wanted to juice it up to shoot closer to 900 but after having 1,000+ pellets through the gun, there isn’t a thing in the works I would change about it. The accuracy is as good or better than anything I’ve ever shot, the shot count is great and the gun is very, very quiet. 



If you just got the gun, give it some time. Try different pellets through it. I have me excellent luck with the Beena. 21.1 gr Kodak’s in my old Airwolf MCT and Air Ranger HP. 

How does the rifle group and what velocity are you getting with the 34gr pellets?

@jlacouturec, I think you do have an issue. Common sense would tell you that the Wolverine R HP should be shooting about the same as the Red Wolf HP on high power. Look at AOAs video on the RW. High setting shoots the 34 grain Beasts around 850 FPS. That would equate to the 25 grain Monsters at about 950 FPS. I could be wrong but contact Daystate or the Seller and find out for sure. 

I'm getting 950fps with 25gr Redesigned RedWolf HP set on high power. 

I would think it would be reasonable to see maybe 870-890 with the 25.39’s. Pushing those at 950 would be a little over 50 ft lbs and pushing the 34’s at 850 is over 55 ft lbs. they sell the rifle as a 45 ft lb gun and every Daystate I’ve owned ( 4 so far) was slightly under the advertised number. I attributed this to the tuning process the rifle went through before it shipped and it never bothered me a bit. That said, you might find a little more velocity out of hammer throw adjustment or slight reg pressure adjustment, but honestly it will probably only be 20-30 fps max, if that. Like mentioned above, call AOA. They can make the adjustments and advise if there is any juice left to squeeze out of your gun. 

Hello, I have just received my new rifle Daystate Wolverine R HP .22 but I have a very big problem for the power. The rifle displays an average power of 12 ftlbs and no way to increase its power. I opened the two screws of the barrel but I found that the hole 🕳 in the barrel is parallel to the air intake.

I am waiting for your emergency response because I am convinced that you have the solution. I bought a high power HP rifle and not a toy.

my regulator preassure is at 150bar

170 bar at 880 fps redisgn

My regulator is set at 170 bar from factory and shoots the 25.4g redesigned pellets at 920 fps.
