Healthaways Plainsmaster 9405

"The Plainsmaster 9405 is a Plainsman with an extended 9.4” barrel, a plastic grip and fore-end in imitation walnut grain and a removable metal foregrip. Other than these changes the 9405 is mechanically identical to the Model 9400 and was designed to shoot proprietary Healthways .177” nickel coated steel BBs , however it will also shoot modern zinc or copper coated steel BBs. The BB reservoir holds up to 100 BBs it takes a standard 12 gram co2 cartridge. And has a spacer to accept a 8 gram cartridge that the early two variants of the Plainsman 175 used.

Professor,

That's one of the best, most informative video, you've ever done. From the descriptive format to product packaging review, then to the front grip off/on shooting, this was fascinating to watch and a real history lesson. I agree the front hand grip looks cool, but I could see it seemed to throw off your normal pistol firing position. I guess, for display purposes, I'd keep front hand grip on, but not for shooting. I wonder if there was ever a shoulder stock planned for this gun? If there was, that might explain that odd front hand grip. Thanks again for all the closeup views, nothing beats them for really getting to understand the gun. I know that's a rare gun and I'm glad you have it since I know it will be well cared for and kept together with all the related product packaging. Your efforts are appreciated and I hope you can continue. Thanks, WM
