Hawke Sidewinder 30 on FX Wildcat

Gentleman, I have made a recent purchase of a Sidewinder for my wildcat. It’s the 8.5-25X42 model, just wondering what size dovetail rings to purchase for the scope/rifle combo.
I prefer low as possible just want to make sure I purchase rings that will allow the scopes objective lense to fit without interfering with the rail.
Any Wildcat owners with sidewinder scopes they can weigh in and help me out?
Thanks
Eric

I had a Sidewinder on my Wildcat and used medium height (.97) BKL rings. They were just barely high enough for a good sight pattern. I would recommend at least medium, if not higher.

Heck yeah Bob, Couldn't agree more. The new BKL rings worried me at first, you really have to torque on the fasteners to get them tightened on the dovetail rail. But its a ridiculously deadly combo. I'm hitting sycamore balls at 97 yards with it, when i do my part (sometimes the wind gets the best of me). Some of the most fun targets you can get as long as the wind doesn't blow them around too much. I've hunted a bit with the combo, Very reliable when you pair it with some Strelok Pro!

Oh yeah at first when I fastened the mounts to the rail on my Streamline, I thought I was going to crush the receiver until I realized the gap needed to be "squeezed" to the smaller size first. Was a bit nerve racking at the time!!

I use Strelok too, just the Plus version for me. Takes all the guess work out of the equation! :)

Though I have some kind of wind meter on my short list. ;-)
