Have you or are you using this in your springer..........

Krytox GPL 205?

I did a search here, and at as many other places as I could on this Krytox GPL 205. I know that some of you have and are still probably using this as a lubricant in your springers. How is it doing for you and what are your observations as to how good it is . So far, I have only used the old mainstay of springer lubes, Moly paste. I know there are some very intensely held opinions on this subject. But, I'm interested in knowing where you apply this (what all parts do you use it on), and honest observations as to how well it performs in the area of reducing wear within the critical parts of your springer. Not saying that there is anything wrong with Moly paste, but the technology of lubricants does change and advance. So I'm open to hear your results from the "field of use" I guess you could say...LOL

Thank you in advanced.

I use it in the piston tube. It does not diesel due to its properties and it is a top shelf lubricant with a top shelf price.

Just a little works well and all mineral based lub should be removed for Krytox to hold its properties.

You can use it just about anywhere, but at its price point, I don't.

Thank you Spingrrr for your input. I was just curious, as I know that there are some guys that started using this a while back. This is of course based on reading some older posts. I figured that by now more info or updates on it's performance would be available. I guess not many are still using it or no-one wants to discuss it....LOL. Thats ok.

Thanks as always.

I used the Krytox 205 in an old Wischo (BSF) 55N, FWB124, and my HW90. In the HW90 I used it on the gas strut O-rings and it’s been over a year with zero pressure loss. The two steel spring guns got it on all piston bearing surfaces. I stuck with moly grease on pivot points and the cocking arm surfaces. I put a super thin film of the Krytox on the pistons just behind new synthetics seals. Dieseling gone! Improvement in velocity precision and accuracy. One small $25 tube (0.5cc?) did all of them, very very little is needed. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES when handling it!!! Cannot overemphasize that enough. Lastly, do a search on either Krytox or user “nced” on the GTA website. He has a long writeup about it.
