Have you ever thought of using grapes for Raccoon bait?

fruit, dogfood, catfood, corn, fish, Coons eat just about anything 

Make some Peanut Butter Bombs, simply nail or screw the lid to the tree at a base of a limb or reachable from the ground on the trunk of the tree, cut out half of the bottom of the jar (just the very bottom) screw the jar back onto the lid, they will come up and dig for the peanut butter presenting a perfect shot

I have used Peanut Butter b4 and grapes in live catch traps. Now just use corn. Got 5 the other night.

I get cracked up with peanut butter kind of like giving a dog peanut butter except coons hate getting it on their hands drives them nuts 

Tried a lot of different ones and the best raccoon bait I have ever used is the skin and bones from a Kentucky Fried Chicken meal. Seems that the scent of the grease and spices carry a long way. 

Sardines with a little vanilla extract.

You don't even need to shoot that one. You could just stab it on the heart with a kitchen knife point blank. I wonder how they TASTE?

They eat pretty good smoked and bar-b-qued.
