Have I just spoiled myself....? Looking for a higher quality FFP scope...

I guess it's the point about how too much scope can be as bad as too little sometimes.

On a few examples, buying one of the higher end rifle scopes for an air gun is like spending more to get a nice Mercedes instead of a Chrysler but... for others, it can feel more like you bought a spaceship to take your groceries home from a Trader Joe's. I.e. They are excellent long range precision scopes but heavy and not always that great for the short range plinking many people want to be able to do in their backyard.

There is still a lot of the top scope manufacturers that think there is no need for any more than a 3-9x33 or 3-9x40 SFP scope for short range guns like air rifles or rimfire. They tend to be the ones that think there is no need for their bigger scopes to focus closer than 50 or 75 yards...

I just picked up a sig sauer Tango 6 2-12x40mm FFP MOA Milling ret and .25 MOA turrets. I figure that the type of shooting that I do, which is forest and farmyard varmint hunting it's the perfect companion to my yet to be delivered FX Wildcat .25. A steal at $879 too.

:)

Oh Wow. I just discovered that even get this SBT too. Perfectly matched to the ballistics of your shooting system, the SIG Ballistic Turret (SBT) is a custom laser-etched elevation dial for your SIG SAUER® Electro-Optics riflescope. Using inputs including bullet specifications, ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, elevation, and other environmental factors, the SBT system allows for the correct bullet drop compensation and pinpoint accuracy at any range.
