I guess since Umarex was dragging their feet on the releasing the Hammer, Hatsan stepped in and offering their version of the 700 + FPE 45 cal PCP and an 800 + FPE 50 cal.

Nice but the barrel is way too long. The barrel itself it twice as long as the gun. Long guns are harder to move through the woods without banging on the barrel and shifting poi.

That's airgun physics. No way to generate that kind of power with airguns with a short barrel. Plus most people will use these guns in an ambush situation anyway.

Id expect a long gun with that power as well, good on Hatsan for possibly beating the hammer into production haha.

it will be mentioned at shot show. that is where the info will be broadcast. i would think a june-sept release date.

With all the hammer delays if they hit the market first umarex might as well scrap the hammer. Especially if it’s close to the same price point

Why scrap the HAMMER? It is made in USA & it is also a repeater! No one else makes a repeater big bore. I will gladly wait for the HAMMER being it is capable of 2 quick follow up shots.

The problem with the Hammer is it's made of Unobtainium [ Noun - a highly desirable material that is hypothetical, scientifically impossible, extremely rare, costly, or fictional, or has some of these properties in combination. ] so your going to be waiting for a long time OR just find an alternative airgun.

I would really love to buy one (way better than the Texan!) but i want to shoot it in 2020 not in twentywhatever.
They made fat claims about the most powerfull airrifle ever made but so far has been surpassed by two competitors that has put rifles on the market (Hatsan will come thru before Umarex).
