Hatsan TACT AIR - pictures

Wanted a portable 12v compressor for filling the gun. this should work off the service battery, just arrived, thinking these are going out of sales as it was $380ish. delivered.
Strangely, bought it from a company on Amazon, they send me a T-shirt instead of the pump, then told me the sale were canceled since the product were out of stock - however it was on their main website, so I bought it from there, and it arrived today.. go figure.. customer service score probably roughly negative 200 so far.. ha ha.

At this time I really don't have long time experience with the TACT AIR, and I did not post these pictures as a recommendationto buy this, im just curious how it works and it is so far incredible portable, compact and about 10 pounds (5kg ish)

Cracked the box open, inside is a fairly torquey DC motor, with a gearing and a crank-shaft to a piston.
motor is held by the black belt that goes around it.. bolted to the based of the enclosure.

The pump assembly is attached directly to the motor.

The zip-tie hold the temperature sensor in place.
the thermometer is only a monitoring device and is not connected to a over-heat shut-off device.

The system pressure needle seems offset to the right.. and literally the LEFT side of the needle seems to be the accurate pressure.
picture shows the needle at the same pressure on my FX and on the TactAIR compressor.

Takes about 5-6 minutes to top off the FX 0.5 littler tank to 250bar (3600psi)

BTW.. the air intake is under the pump, im going to print a block to fit a short hose onto the intake, and put a desiccant bottle on the outside, instead of having to build pressure in a large bottle after the pump.

Knowing what I know now, if I couldn’t afford a new CF tank I’d just invest in this Spark compressor, as that would fill my guns. In fact, I recently got a kid into this PCP hobby. He bought himself a wood walker PRod and a cheap hand pump. Well it didn’t take him long to realize hand pumping is for the birds, so I suggested this Spark compressor to him.

The only sort of “hassle” I see with this and other makes of 12v compressors, is if your at a range that’s remote with no power close by, and your vehicle is a good walking distance away. Then yes, a large tank or a small guppy type tank would be good to own, along with this compressor. Just don’t try and use it to fill a large tank with, lol

Totally agree, actually about the remote range, Im using a 12v gell battery, a motorcycle type, about the same size as the compressor, I tossed it on the trickle charger in the garage, and it gave me 4+ fills (top-off of my FXimpact) over the weekend off-site without running off my car at all. not sure how far it would go, 4 was all I needed. :)
