Hatsan Stage $ Pump

Hello All

I'm reaching out today hoping to find some reviews on Hatsan's Stage 4 pump. I'm currently trying to put together my first air rifle setup. I'm currently in college so so funds aren't endless, but I do want a solid pump as I will be using it for.a while till I can afford a tank or compressor.I'm interested in Hatsan specifically as I'm also very interested in the Hatsan Flashpup (if you are selling yours, I'm looking to buy). My thought was if the pump and gun are from the same brand I wouldn't have any fitment issues. However, if you have any other ideas that would be great as well.

Thanks, Rob Smith

I have the Hatsan 3 stage Tactair pump and have had to rebuild it twice over a period of about 3 months with very little use on it. I just noticed the other day it is starting to act up again. From what I can tell Hatsan just places their logo on a chinese hand pump and mark them up. Hatsan could not even provide me with a parts list or parts diagram when I contacted them looking for some orings. They told me they did not carry rebuild kits for it and I would have to send it in under warranty if it was not working. The pump came new with extra orings, but most of them did not actually fit the pump, or were so hard they were unusable. I ended up measuring the orings with calipers and procuring them elsewhere including Ace Hardware and a rebuild kit from Aliexpress.

So my advice would be to purchase a Hill or Benjamin pump where manufacturer support and parts are readily available, that is my plan for my next hand pump, which will probably be very soon! Compatibility or fitment issues are not a concern for other pumps, so don’t purchase a Hatsan pump based on that premise.

I blew a ring on my Hatsan pump the first week I had it. As has been said the support is lackluster, no diagrams or easy to use parts list are available. I did manage to repair it from the bag of unlabeled parts, but it was a pain.

The pump works since the rebuild and I feel I need to baby it now.

You can use a Hatson probe on any pump once you attach an adapter.

Next time my pump blows it’s getting tossed and replaced
