Hatsan FlashPup sounds like a springer,Why?

Hi,I have a Flashpup,22 cal. When the gun is fired I hear what sounds like a spring vibrating, kind of like a spring air gun. Am I hearing the the hammer spring or the air in the cylinder pulsing? Will a de-pinger resolve this noise and has anyone installed one on a hatsan flash? I watched a you tube video by "Air Rifle Tech" where he uses a bottle brush inserted in the air-cylinder "Air Rifle Tech" AND,will this modification affect the guns performance in any way?

Did anyone ever do this mod ? I’m having the same issue with my .25 flashpup loud twang sounds like it’s the trigger but could be the air barrel? only started to notice when I suppressed it but now it’s got me annoyed haha any on do any gromets also ? On inside if barrel from floating to touch the outer barrel? Thought that might be a problem ? In the end of the barrel it’s a lot of vibration going through a light thin metal over shrouded barrel

With a bullpup, everything that is smacking something is right by your ear, that's the first problem. The second problem is your gun isn't regulated. You have no sound dampener between the valve and the airtube or bottle. A cheap unregulated gun can be a real shooter but they are the Harley Davidson Sportsters of the PCP world. Depinging devices, whether its aluminum, a ball of steel wool or a brush wont mess with your guns performance.

Agree. The third thing with the synthetic version is that the sound is amplified by the hollow stock. I prefer the wood version for that reason. Also because the barrel-cylinder-clamp-scope-rail combo in the wood version is more stable. It moved in my S version and impacted POI. Solved that by steadying the clamp with a shim between the cylinder and the clamp + set screws in the clamp.

If you have the S version, I simply suggest to enjoy it like it was born. Not too many mods because it is a very accurate and light to carry hunter. Mine in .25 loves H&N Grizzly slugs. Only tune the trigger & put in a reg if you want to get sophisticated. And watch that wobbly scope rail-clamp combo if you start having POI issues! 🐦
