Hatsan Bully Diagram

"Imold"Trigger feels like it’s set at about 18 pounds, today I finaly got to shoot it and I thought something was wrong with the safety like it wouldn’t come off but then I realized I needed to hook the trigger up to my bumper and use the truck to get it to fire, I’m not kidding I’ve owned several Hatsan airguns and this is 10 times worse then any trigger, my brother laughed because I had to pull so hard I lifted the bully up about 3 inches off the table because I was pulling so hard, it’s like they put the adjustment screw all the way in or left a big burr on the face of the trigger, either way I need to read up on how to adjust the trigger or take emery cloth after the trigger and smooth it out or send it back.......I’ll read up and see if there is a adjustment I can do without voiding warranty or I’ll send it back......I’m not kidding about this either it totally took me by surprise.

First and Second stages are adjustable
It's heavy out of the box, no doubt. I adjusted mine down to 2lb 7oz. Much better. Remove the stock and you'll have quick access to the adjustment screws. Directions with the gun describes the details.

Wow that trigger pull seems insane. I say just dump a tin of pellets down range and see if the gun breaks in and becomes softer. Rich also recommended some adjustments. I am holding off purchasing a Bully till I hear more from you!

I’ll drop the stock and take a look, do some reading and make minor adjustments checking it with my trigger gauge, I could see it being maybe 5-6 pounds but when you think the safety is still on that’s wild. I can deal with the noise easy enough but the trigger yike.

Ill let you all know what it is before I touch it by using my trigger gauge then I’ll let you know what I adjusted it to and like I said none of my other Hatsans were this hard. Later and Oh...I do like the gun itself just needs a trigger readjustment.

Ok so today I took my Lyman trigger gauge and put it up against the Bully and the Bully won, I pulled it till I hit 7.8 pounds and stopped then I took the stock off and turned the #1 screw a 1/2 turn clockwise which brought the trigger to a hair over 2 pounds which I felt was to light, I turned the screw about 1 flat on the Allen wrench counter clockwise and tested the trigger again and it is now showing 2.9 on the Lyman gauge, I put the stock back on went outside and now it feels like a trigger should I can now say I like my Bully and the trigger..

I must admit the trigger adjustment is very touchy a sixteenth to even a thirty second turn makes a difference so if your going to adjust a bully trigger be carful.

Easie peasie fix.

I need to get out and shoot mine again and see how loud it really is, I only did a few as I adjusted the trigger and it didn’t seem as bad as yesterday but I was in the open today at home where as yesterday I was under my canopy at my range. I’m looking forward to being able to get some shooting in with it, hopefully I will be able to get out tomorrow and do it, I should also mention that I didn’t adjust the length of pull but from what I did today with the trigger it seems to be ok but time will tell.
I had to download the pdf manual so I had the right info being the one that came with was directed more towards the other Hercules not the Bully.

A friend just bought a .30 cal Bully and asked if I would adjust his trigger to a light 1lb second stage. After playing with it for a bit, I've got a decent travel on the 1st stage coming up to a clean stop on the 2nd stage. The second stage break is averaging 1lb on a Lyman trigger gauge. There are no problems with sear engagement. The trick is to walk the 1st and 2nd stage adjustment screws in the same direction at the same time. A small turn on the 1st stage, then small turn on the 2nd stage .. rinse and repeat.

Well I went out and sighted it in a bit high at 25 yards( top of center bullseye )and the rest is history out to 100 yards and I had a good time just wasting pellets on steel targets, I did adjust the trigger length when I got home just to give me a little more and now I thing all is well, now I need to get some more paintballs glued on some tall golf tees so I can set up some small targets in the grass.

"Rich7777"The Bully in the video has been modified. That dial isn't factory. Judging by the location, I would say that's a transfer port restriction.
I have seen several videos from different YouTubers with the same power adjuster knob. Check out other videos especially in Turkish language.

To follow up on this, Dennis said none of the Bullys coming through indianaairguns.com has this transfer port restriction knob. The more I look at that video, the more I'm convinced this is an aftermarket mod. They use a silver colored hex bolt on the knob. The factory Bully has a higher fit/finish than that. Everything is black, even the bolt heads.

Was out shooting the Bully this afternoon and I think I might invest in a Donny RONIN for it to take out some of the bark it makes, you can hear the pellet hit but you are still dealing with the sound of the shot going off when the pellet hits the steel other then that I like the Bully .30 it’s hard hitting.
