Hatsan atp1 for target competition?

Hey guys I just found a hatsan atp1 pistol refurbished for 280. I was looking at the crossman 1720t but this is half the price. Question is this. If I put a regulator in I know i will lose shots due to the small reservoir but the point is just to get 1 magazine of shots through at a constant pressure. Has anyone done this? The atp1 looks like a shooter but there is no peak Plato just a few shots climbing up in speed then straight down. Each shot reports about 60 psi per shot. Anyways if any of you have regulated the at pistol please let me know. Oh yeah and im planning on using the huma reg from an at44 thanks
 
I emailed HUMA about putting an at44 reg in an ATP2 (the same except for the carbine butt stock) - Huub said it wouldn't work. I've copied his email answer below. I am also unaware of any other brand that regulates this pistol so you'd likely have to get someone to do a custom job, if you can find somebody willing?

Unfortunately we don't have a reg for this type of pistol.The valvehouse is very tiny so a special model reg would be required (to expensive) Sorry for this

2nd on the 1720T. I've a collasible rifle stock, so can shoot rifle and pistol with the same gun. Huma reg, 6 oz trigger, it just rocks.

this slips in my backpack, gives me access to local ground squirrels no one else can shoot..

I've only had the 1720T , well worth the $345.00 ( do shop around) . Good trigger, >W barrel taht would hit a house fly at 50 yards every single time. Can easily be boosted to 11fpe with good shot count & spread, really the value in low cost target pistols.
Depending on your comp/type shooting the 1701p is a great shooter also and is actually pistol sized.
